Let there be no mistaking that this place is providing illicit services. If that's what you are looking for, ok, but if you aren't you might be in for a violating surprise. I am a massage therapist and I know a boundary violation when we I see one, I had a massage with Peter that was completely inappropriate and resulting in me covering myself up and asking him to move away from where he was working multiple times. What was supposed to be a relaxing massage experience left me feeling assaulted and more stressed than I was before. I am shocked by the positive reviews here as the spa itself

Excellent massage, and unbeatable price in DC. I have arthritis, which means I have a lot of inflammation so massages are particularly helpful for loosening up. My masseuse hit all of my problem areas (I did not have to point them out or ask), even paying extra attention to smaller areas that often hurt, like my thumb. The masseuse checked in often to ask if pressure was ok, and went firmer when I asked (my preference). They also have choices for oils, both with and without scents.

The massage therapists were professional and did a thorough job massaging the entire body (even inside our ears!) while maintaining a consistent level of pressure. If you like serious massages, this is the place to get one. Good value for the money too.

I’ve tried about 20 different masseuses and multiple companies in the dmv area over the past 8 years. My experience at Coco is top 3. I had a full body massage with the older Asian gentleman Peter and it was excellent. It was not a standard Swedish massage. He moved along large and small body muscles, used different techniques I’ve never experienced w wonderful strength and pressure (I like harder massages). He also concentrated on tight areas. Hot stones at the end were relaxing. I felt great after, and slept very well that night surprisingly lol. The massage shop from the outside is small

If you want a real massage for an excellent price, this is the place. The masseuse was incredibly skilled and intuitive about the vertebra and muscles that need attention. All this work from home and grad school coursework has me sitting at a computer for long hours, so this massage was long overdue and what I needed. I will be coming back for my next one!

Best massage I have ever had!! Seriously. I will become a regular here. I used to go to Meridian across the street in Georgetown, but it has become less reliable. So I tried Coco Massage (same thing as DC Health - this listing). And it was literally amazing! Deep tissue massage and acupressure. The woman I had was a miracle worker on my back. There are oil-based massages in private rooms, or over-clothes massages on tables in the main room (which I did). Highly recommend, super affordable. $45 for 45 min.

My husband and I both love DC Health Spa and have been weekly regulars for a long time now. Everyone is extremely professional and we love our massages with Jenny, Linda and Steven (the owner). I'm sure the other masseuses are amazing too. It is best to call and schedule an appointment but you can also walk-in to see if there's availability. It is a Chinese-style massage. They have amazing pressure - we prefer deep tissue and they are strong! You can choose whether to have your massage on one of the tables in the front with clothes on, or in the back you can choose oil massage.

I have been following Steven since he was at Angel Health Spa in Adams Morgan... I'm so glad I was able to find him again... Steven has miracle hands... He is truly gifted. If you are a runner or workout a lot, I recommend getting a reflexology massage with Steven at least once per month... You will not regret it. Steven is the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent service. The therapist spoke English and knew exactly what areas to focus on. Limited English, but it becomes a problem if you let it be a problem. Everything can be communicated by body language or translator, with patience. They operate in a cultural sphere, but the end result is good. They try very hard to please. For the price, and the overall experience culturally, I highly recommend this place.

Not sure if they've changed or I just got lucky but I did not encounter most of the issues posted here. I called to make an appointment and had no issue with that. Came in 15 mins early, the weird thing was that although the spa was open, there was no one there. I waited for about 10 mins before walking inside to see if anyone there - and there was a lady. So I told her I have an appointment. No issue from this point on, was led into the room, got a decent hot stone massage.

I am glad I did. The receptionist was very nice, I was able to express my needs for a more firm massage after which she offered a male therapist. I was able to be helped right away. The room was fine, including the bed, everything was clean etc. Just don't expect an over the top five star spa resort type of style. It's more basic than that.

This was the worst "massage" I've ever gotten in my LIFE, and I've been to a lot of spas. I used a Groupon with my friend, and each of us was hoping the other was not getting as terrible an experience, but we were wrong. THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE. Not worth even the $41 Groupon. It's amazing they are even still in business.

face and feet. Bonus; I also got some hot stone treatment thrown in. Paid $35 for my Groupon which. Normally a massage is $1 per minute, so I definitely got an awesome deal. The staff was very professional and tended to me even though I was 30 minutes early. Nice spot in Georgetown, take a cab of you can, the location is all the way up Wisconsin, mostly residential. The walk back to the main shopping are is nice. There are restaurants and small shops nearby.
