Being a local and frequenting this place often, all I can say is that I'm out. Every staff person we've encountered has been cold, off putting, and sometimes outright rude. Ambiance is great, and food is good, so if you don't mind being scowled out by staff go for it.

Took my drink order and ignored me for 30+ minutes.
I ordered a drink and waited for a solid 30 minutes before leaving.
If you don't want to offer outdoor services, don't.... please don't offer HEATED outdoor service, only to provide neither.

Tasty and traditional Mexican food with an artisanal flourish destined to delight your tastebuds. If you like mezcal cocktails, this is definitely the place to go. The bar is stocked with an array of mezcal & tequila. The horchata & hibiscus are made in-house and deliciously refreshing. Love the street tacos, elotes, enchiladas, chile relleno & omg the fajitas!!! Lots of vegetarian options and yummy desserts too. Great service & a fun place to hang!

My family and I had Dinner at Mezcal tonight .Every dish we ordered was seriously over salted and over cooked. The waitress was the worst we had ever encountered..The experience was awful from the second we were seated..All meals ordered were left on the table , paid and left. Do not waste your time or money. Very dissapointing. Never again

Very good location, nice decor but service and food was barely decent. I know it's during Covid but the servers could care less what you want or need. Go to Taqueria Picaro great food and fun atmosphere.

Not your Tex-Mex standard popular Mexican restaurant. The favorites are there, taquitos, enchiladas, tacos, etc but have different cooking methods or include traditional Mexican ingredients. Food is fresh, tasty with friendly service. Excellent cocktails. Great place for social gatherings 👍

I ordered Mezcal Restaurant from DoorDash! I ordered the Nachos Mezcal! They come with Tortilla chips cascading with various cheeses, beans, pico de gallo, jalapeños, guacamole, and sour cream. Top with your choice of chicken, steak, or seasoned beef. I ordered them without beans, jalapeños and sour cream...just cheese nachos! Unfortunately they came as described on the menu, and they were cold, so the nachos tasted pretty gummy! I also ordered the

I went to Mezcal during the lunch hours, and was pleased with my experience. I went there specifically because they carry the dish Cochinita Pibil, which I have searched for throughout Oregon (literally have searched dozens upon dozens of menus to no avail). It was quite well done, and in particular their corn tortillas are quite flavorful and have an excellent texture.

in addition to carrying my favorite Mexican dish, their bartender Air (who was also working the floor during lunch) was exceptional. Not only was she very friendly and attentive throughout my dining experience, but she also made

Chose this place based on reviews, was very disappointed. Food is salty, not flavorful. Will not come back for drinks or a meal. My family tried the street tacos, tortilla soup, queso fundido, tamale, carne asade, and chile relleno. There was a toothpick cooked into the chile relleno.
I ordered the mango chile cocktail and the seasoning on the rim was incredibly sour and the cocktail itself tasted like water with a hint of watered down mango juice.
We were also the only table indoors so maybe others already knew better.

We had a blast here. We sat in the outdoor balcony. They did have heaters. The guacamole was good. The molcajete was good, but most of the meats were over cooked (steak, shrimp, chicken) the parts down in the juice were much better. The sausage was fantastic...thee best I’ve had in a molcajete. The cochanita pibil was good, but we’d try something else next time. The roasted pineapple mezcal drink is a must try. The key lime pie was incredible. Cheers 🍻

It was such a nice late sunday lunch on the balcony! the view is nice, it was the most high up i'd been in ashland so it was fun to see it from a new perspective. The service was good! we were greeted with chips and salsa which was smokey and satisfying. We had the tropical ceviche which was very yummy but nothing special for me. My boyfriend liked it because it was sweeter but i missed the spice. we had the shrimp fajitas which were very good. It was filling for 2 people and we had some leftover. Definitely a good price for that. I had a house margarita and i was bummed they don't do

We love this place, the margaritas are on point the food is to die for! I didn't read any of their reviews before I stumbled upon this gem and I cannot believe they don't have 5 across the board. So I'll start with their ambiance. They have a balcony, inside and once in awhile they are out on ground level with margaritas from a fountain dispenser (amazing). I happened to be walking bye with 2 wet boys and was exhausted from watching them all day. Kiva herself a mom was so gracious and accommodating and was so wonderful as a server!! You could tell her level of experience &

Tried this place finally and was not happy with the quality of food. It looked great on the plate but tasted awful. The pork was not fresh and had no seasoning. It was hard and crispy on top and water logged on bottom. However the rice and beans were very tasty.
The service was excellent and on point.

The food was impressive, some real unique menu items you don't see everywhere as well. If sitting inside i recommend a window seat as the view of downtown is great.

Wonderful spot and I can't wait to go back at full capacity.
Don't skimp on apps. The sopes were so good I could have eaten twice more as my meal.
In the past, the third story on the plaza has a bit of a pretentious feel to it, but i didn't get that he.
Would recommend and will be back

Awesome find in the heart of Ashland! Enjoy the plaza view from the balcony or the beautiful Mexican decor and music inside. The margaritas and food were delicious and authentic (trust us, we love Mexico and grew up in San Diego). Will definitely go back for dinner. We heard on the weekends they have a DJ and dancing in the main room! 💃🕺

Really disappointed that this restaurant does not at all take social distancing seriously. I arrived in the early evening with my family to a mostly empty dining room. There was one table by the window that was occupied and two that weren't. The hostess sat us directly beside the other occupied table. I asked if we could be seated elsewhere (so that we weren't 2 feet away from others) . Stood there for about 5-10 minutes as the confused hostesses tried to figure out where they could sit us. Finally we just sat at the table right beside the other guests since I guess it was a difficult

Had a great dinner here tonight. Our first visit. I ordered the $28 Chicken molé dinner and wow - one of the best mole sauces I've ever tasted! Smooth, dark chocolate bitter, slow roasted chili peppers and other complex flavors. This meal came with complimentary appetizer (flat bread, bean dip and 2 salsas), corn tortillas, marinated vegetable salad and half a tender roasted chicken. Husband ordered the ribeye steak dinner. It was good but not as good as the molé. For dessert we shared the avocado ice cream. It was amazing. A real avocado skin filled with creamy avocado ice cream. In

Well.... let's just start off by saying I LOVE THIS PLACE. Continue reading if you want more deets, but either way, get there ASAP cuz this place is bomb.

I recently moved to Southern Oregon and if you know this area, mi gente are lacking around here so I was pretty stoked there would be a new restaurant opening up other than a Taco Bell (jokes). It's a little hard to find if you're not familiar with the area but once you get up to the top floor, the view is fantastic.

You start off with not the traditional "chips and salsa" but something even better -- a cracker/tostada
