At Mark Kemp Dental, our friendly, professional staff is committed to making every experience positive and enjoyable. We work together to ensure you receive caring service with a smile. Shannon graduated from ACC with a certificate in dental assisting in 1996. After working as a chair side dental assistant for 4 years, she decided she preferred being at the front desk.
According to the National Institute of Health, tooth decay is the most prevalent chronic disease in both children and adults. Through routine care and education, we seek to change this statistic for future generations. Partnering with parents, we teach children to form good oral health habits at an early age.
Dr. Kemp has been practicing for 23 years. By marriage, he is a third generation dentist who proudly continues the tradition of patient-centered care handed down by his father-in-law. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Elon University and a Master of Science in Chemistry from East Carolina University, Dr. Kemp went on to dental school at UNC Chapel Hill, receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1991.

Dr. Kemp and his staff are simply the best. The high level of dental care they provide for their patients is without equal. The compassion and kindness of everyone in the office makes every appointment special. My visit with Dr. Kemp and staff was a wonderful experience as usual. The safety precautions due to COVID - 19 were more than efficient. I felt completed at ease. No waiting in the “ waiting room”. Stay in car until called in for service. Text messages prior to appointment to remind you of date and time as well as the new protocol. All staff wore mask, shields, gown, and hair covering. Although Dr Kemp has little hair to cover.

As a very, very long-term patient of this dental practice (going back to 1976) I'm here to tell you that if you want/need great dental care; dental clinical expertise which keeps growing (I was Dr. Kemp's first dental implant patient); a caring, attentive and highly skilled staff of dental clinicians and a welcoming and very personally warm office administrator/receptionist - then you have to enlist yourself/family to the care of this dental practice. You, of course, need to follow their advice as well as see them regularly for exams and any necessary treatments! Oh, by the way, on the rare occasion
