I don't write reviews that are bad in nature - this is my first one. I know everyone has an off day. I am normally very patient and err on the side of caution. I like to highlight the good experiences I have with the companies I give my business to. Now that I have had time to cool off and think about the way the company enacted new practices, I'm writing this bad review.
I highly recommend that you find a different realty to work with for your Outer Banks, NC rental needs. We have been renting the same house for three years with expectations to continue renting there for several more. Oddly,

We stayed in CC286 Starry Night in Corolla for a week. The living room furniture desperately needs to be replaced. The ice maker in the kitchen didnt work. Called and maintenance responded quickly however the ice maker took forever to make a si gle batch of ice. Ice make on refrigerator never worked. So we had to buy ice. 2 of the tvs in bedrooms didn't work.
Certain areas of the house such as screened in porch and fenced in dog lot needed cleaning. The dog lot was full of leaves, debris and the pool cover. Not safe for dogs as we saw 2 snakes. Bushes around pool fence need to be trimmed and cleaned

Stayed in Turtles Nest for the week and could not have been happier. House exceeded our expectations. We knew that the house had been recently updated but we were blown away with how updated the house was. This was our first time using this company for our rental needs and we were not disappointed. Any issues we had they promptly handled them and answered our questions. Looking forward to our next OBX Vacation in 2021. Thanks again Atlantic Realty for such a wonderful beach vacation. I would recommend them for your next OBX Vacation.

Rented a property managed by Atlantic realty. The home was dirty and not cleaned. We were told that check in was not until 5pm due to extended cleaning times. Stained pillows (yellow stains and looked like blood), dirty appliances , house looks like it hasnt been dusted in months, carpet was not vacuumed and there was blood on the shower curtain. A bandaid was stuck to the mattress. Chairs were broke, knob on shower was broke. Housekeeper and maintenance worker stated home looked like it had never been cleaned. This was truly unacceptable even more now with covid. They offered a full refund but

Place I stayed at was falling apart. Blinds were mangled. Slivers from the decking. Our windscreen for the sliding door kept getting blown off and crashing down. Sliding door itself was so rusted on its track it was hard to operate. Excessive amount of what appeared to be mildew/mold damage above the shower. We were harassed to get our signed lease in even after communicating when we would send it in. We sent it in and they weren’t able to open it because they were using an automated mailing system and didn’t give us their actual email address to send it on. To add to the subpar service from

We rented a 4 br house for our family of 7 over the second week of July (beginning of peak season). The dryer was old and didn’t work so we reported it on our second day. We were unable to do laundry all week which is a must at a beach house. It was replaced the night we were packing to come home. I asked for a partial reimbursement for an important amenity that was not available but Atlantic Realty has no accountability or follow-up to this matter. I wish they were as diligent with this issue as they were with our booking.

We rented Rosey Shores. Home was typical old style beach house which we like. Pet friendly but needed to be cleaned better. Dog hair under all the beds.
AC did not keep up and the home was 84 to 88 degrees during the day. They told us the unit had been replaced in 2015. That's great but they should have put a bigger unit in to keep the house cool.
Refrigerator froze all our food and drinks even when we turned it down to 2.
Kitchen utensils were sparse and there were no good knives for cooking and cutting.
The location was wonderful but this home could use a little more attention to detail.

We rented Drag N Fly in Corolla. The house was beautiful with lots of amenities. It was in a great location- close to drive-on beach (which we like to go to) and not far from Food Lion. The only issues were we did not get enough linens and the previous renters garbage was never collected. Once we called house keeping they did bring more linens and they took out some garbage to give us a little room in the container. I would suggest owners or rental company leave a note saying when garbage pick up is and remind renters to put the containers at end of driveway. Other than that, the place is beautiful
