Catfish way over seasoned. The hushpuppy tasted like sour milk. I could not get the taste out of my mouth. The cocktail sauce in the red squeeze bottle was so dark it had to be way old. Did not even try. Way overpriced. The fries smelled like they were cooked in very old oil. We did not even finish eating, left it. On top of that , if u use a credit card, they charge u 4% more. Seriously do,not recommend. And I swear, I am not a picky eater.

I really don’t like l leaving poor reviews especially at local places. My wife was served undercooked fish. When we asked the server she offered to bring some WELL DONE fish. I recommended leaving that alone as I knew what would come probably back and it would be worse than raw fish. I told the server let’s wait and see as it’s still hot and maybe would continue to cook. Either way the server never came back. (Server school 101 is to always address an issue…it’s not hard and it’s not the servers fault). It’s not going to get any better unless you deal with it. Places are understaffed

Clearly a spot for folks that live in Fredericksburg. I went in on a Thursday and was told that the special was steak bites. I was skeptical, but figured I'd trust in the ones that frequent the place. It came with a salad out first and some of the most delicious and I'm sure fattening ranch dressing I've ever had. Then the main course...steak "bites" with mashed potatoes and brown gravy on top of the potatoes. There was also a side of sautéed mushroom and onions. Holy smokes!!!! Ive never even had brown gravy in my life, but the entire meal was divine!!! The steak

This restaurant has a country style cafe setting. The service was good, but I can only speak with respect to a Tuesday evening with few customers.
Dinner order- OYSTERS & STUFFED CRAB:
Oysters were perfectly fried, not overcooked. The batter was crispy and seasoned well without being overpowering, making the oyster the star.
Stuffed crab breading had a crunch while the stuffing was moist and seasoned properly. The seasoning in combination with the trinity (bell pepper, onion, & celery) bring out a nice

Ate there Saturday for lunch. Chicken fried steak was tough, blackened redfish was well prepared. A trip to salad bar was listed as a side however the restaurant had the bar closed and instead served a house salad which was unusually small and not-so-fresh. Other sides (fried okra and baked potato) were also quite small. Service was good however only 5 tables were occupied.

just down the road from Farm mart conveniently located for us just down the street, when we close the Peach and vegetable stand at 6 and there still open.

I was in town on vacation with my small dog. I ordered some food over the phone and explained the situation with my dog, who couldn't be left alone in our AirBnb. The server (Alex? This was around 3:45pm on Wed. 1/6) was very accommodating and both took my payment and gave me my takeout order at the door. I'm so grateful for how thoughtful they were, and my dog liked them too!!
Food was delicious as well, would definitely eat there again.

This place has a good variety on the menu. A little high priced for the quantity of helpings. The catfish plate came with fries and a salad bar. Due to Covid19, your choice is salad or cole slaw. I chose the slaw and was brought a small bit. The food was average at best. The wait staff was focused on visiting with each other and not on their customers. There are many better choices, but this place was not bad.

We arrived at 1:03. I know because we sat down and I sent my son a picture. We got our food at 2:13. There were 10 other people there besides our party, we made 14. When I asked the manager about it, it seemed as if he did not care and went on. Once we got our food it was ok, nothing to write home about. Would not recommend.

I always ordered the sampler plate of fish, oysters, frog legs and stuffed crab, so I gave it a try. As mentioned in other reviews, they were heavy on the breading and everything was overcooked. There was nothing wrong with the flavor of the breading, it was just too thick and fried too long, especially the oysters.
