My favorite spot here in Rhode Island!
Been coming here for years as we have family who lives in Coventry. The best baked stuffed jumbo shrimp all over town!
Great layout here with lots of space for big parties and special events!
Staff is very sweet and all are wearing masks. The area by the windows has great natural lighting, great views!
We ordered the calamari, baked stuffed shrimp, and a Caesar Salad. The calamari had an amazing flavor and great spice to it. Also comes with hot peppers throughout the dish, so good!
We always come here for the baked stuffed jumbo shrimp, and every time

We have used Uber eats to bring us food at home from this restaurant several times. The food is always hot and good. They have pretty reasonable prices and good size servings. We've never had a complaint about anything that they sent us and they have a great variety in the menu. And Uber eats is pretty fast so even at the busiest times you can get your food in an hour or less.

4.2 rating for this place?? Their mashed potatoes were made from a box.The fries were store bought. Their lobster roll meat was minced when it should be whole pieces. Their pasta had no flavor. Calamari hella bland. We waited an hour before our food arrived. Disgusting. Gordon Ramsey needs to help this place out.

There wasn't a single item that wasn't a disappointment. The portion sizes were tiny compared to anyplace else I've ever ordered from.
The burger was basic, the salad was sad, and the apple crisp wasn't nearly appley enough.
Maybe they're better dinning in but I can't recommend anyone order out based on my experience.

This was my first time ordering from here and everything was great. The Mozzarella Wedges were AMAZING!!!! I do order out frequently from different restaurants and this was the first time in awhile that my order was actually correct. Keep up the good work and I can't wait to come back to try something else.

Take out can be so disappointing, but not here! So so good. So happy with our decision to try it out. Will definitely be ordering again!!! Thank you for a delicious dinner.

DONNA IS THE MANAGER AND SHE DID GREAT ALSO 2 SERVERS TONYA AND Amy were perfect. This is a hidden gem as so many venues are gone . Very nice, d school, and comforting for all. Don't overlook this spit for your next gathering.

Old time favorite....it's been too long since I have been here....it was a usual haunt back in the day....back when there were hour long waits consistently on the weekends. Everyone in the area would go for dinner, before a show at the tent, for special occasions or just to hang at the bar after work. The "regulars" were like family - it was like Cheers, everyone did know your name.
Unfortunately, this local, independent restaurant that has been around since 1977 has been quiet. So much competition from chain restaurants, the closure of the tent, and perhaps a lack of something

To begin my experience has typically been that Cowesett Inn has sub par food - but my boyfriend convinced me to give it another try. We ordered our meals and Grub Hub delivered our order. My boyfriends meal is there the appetizer is there but my food is missing ! At this point I'm annoyed and starving. I call Cowesett Inn to try to understand this matter and Steve answered the phone only to tell me "oh ya the item you ordered we don't offer that anymore" me : "ok that's fine but I now have no dinner to eat. Steve- "oh ya sorry about that" I'm sorry

A local traditional spot that everyone has been to many times, it still holds up to its standards. We wanted to get more than the usual takeout fare for New Years Eve so we ordered from here. Chicken parm, traditional pub bacon cheeseburger and pork chops with vegetables and rice.
A three were delicious, well prepared and packaged and still hot when we got home. My chicken parm came with a nice piece of garlic bread, al dente pasta and plenty of tasty sauce. The burger and pork chops elicited lots of oohs and ahhs from the rest of the family. Good portions and fair prices. Friendly service

I honestly can say, this is the best place for soup and sauce to go! When I called, the man who picked up the phone was extremely professional and so nice, considering the pandemic we are on, most people are miserable. Did not realize that they did not have curbside. However, the woman that works there, kindly brought it out to me along with two loaves of fresh Italian bread. The soup was so delicious! could not believe how tasty it was, fresh veggies and shredded pieces of chicken! yummy. Thanks for making my first experience the best! Your food taste way better than any other soup and sauce place

Knowing we couldn't celebrate Easter on Sunday, on Wednesday we decided to pre-order dinner from a local restaurant for Saturday pickup. After some research, we saw that Cowesett Inn had a pretty good looking ham dinner available. Online ordering allowed us to request Saturday, and we were super excited because they were even giving us a free bottle of wine! We called to make sure we knew how to get the wine. Confirmed we could place our order for Saturday. In fact, the only way they were allowing the ham ordered was online.... ok.....Order placed. Card charged. Weight off our shoulders.

A good local spot. This place has been here forever.
I've been coming here for years, but what has been bringing me here lately is the burger and beer deals.
Every Thursday night, you can get draft beer and burgers for half off. That is a great deal.
This is a good casual place to bring your family and enjoy good comfort food.

I left here hungry! In fact, so hungry that I had a pizza delivered from the local Domino's when I got home. The Domino's delivery driver was about ten times faster and more conscientious than the service at this restaurant.
My uncle's steak (or was it shoe leather?) was chewy. The veggies were cold. The stuffed mushrooms (which were supposed to have bacon, but didn't) were very tasteless. Oh and my aunt counted ONE CLAM in her cup of clear chowder. Yes, ONE CLAM! It was more like potato soup.
I will say, my pierogi were good. I was told that the scallops/lemon risotto

I used to eat there all the time haven't been there in 7 years but last night we went and I have to say standards have dropped same decor from the 1980s.
And on a Saturday night at 8pm there were three tables going a ghost town.
It seemed like the waiter was in a rush to leave or just didn't want to be there, food came out in minutes Wich scared me, I ordered chicken parmesan Wich was a mush batter and watery sauce and my girlfriend ordered fish and chips on a Saturday hopefully it was fresh she enjoyed her meal but my meal was not worth the money I spent.
Probably my last time going

Awful service!!! Sat there for an hour after ordering appetizers and dinner. Eventually appetizers came. Then asked how long the entrees would be because my sons were getting antsy. Waiter said another 4-5 minutes. Time goes by and we had to ask for the bill and the entrees to go. Risotto tasted like it was frozen, they put the "mixed greens" in with the hot food. So aggravated and will definitely not be returning.

Went out with a group of friends. First time trying this place. The place was totally empty for a Sunday night. Scott, our waiter was great. The food was meh. We had some apps and entrees. Several people had fish & chips which had no flavor totally bland. The fish tasted like it had been previously frozen and the batter had no seasoning. I had eggplant parm. The fried eggplant pieces definitely had been frozen and the pasta was overcooked. Someone else had perogies which he said were really good. I doubt we will go back. For the price, it should have been much better.

My moody GPS, Connie, guided us here after digging at the Old Mill Flea Market. We hadn't heard of this place but it sounded like a spin off of Petticoat Junction - sold.

I was very surprised by my lunch salad today (in a good way). We were a party of 13 work associates and I didn't hear one complaint (which was good as I paid for the meal!). I decided to try the grilled shrimp salad and it was 100% fresh and delicious (romaine, corn, grilled shrimp, tomatoes, fresh avocado slices, and just enough dressing). Our server was attentive, the bread n'butter was decent, and overall it was a satisfying experience.
So why does Cowesett Inn only get three stars instead of 4 or 5? Well, the place is stuck in the 80's. It's cool in a throwback kind of
