East Wok

Like others, I've been a patron for years of East Wok. I've always been pleased with the quality, quantity, and quickness of their service.

Nice Thai variation of Chinese dishes. My husband and I buy there often.

Based on the feedback from locals, tried East Wok for the first time. The food was fresh and delicious! Very happy to have found a new "go to" for Chinese comfort food.

I believe this is mainly a take out restaurant, if not completely. Food is just delicious, and also reasonable. The service is very accommodating and pleasant.(A friend had recommended the beef and broccoli with white rice. Great recommendation!)

There was literally a piece of metal in my lo mein. I have no idea where it came from. I took a bit and felt something weird and actually spit out a freakin piece of metal!!!

Good food, Chinese and some Thai. Good prices. A couple tables but not a place to sit down and eat. Strictly take out/ delivery.

I've been going here since 2018. I love it! But I've only had General Tso's, orange chicken, boneless spared ribs, and massaman curry. So if you're getting one of these items its good.

Small mostly taks out chinese and thai place. Pre Covid they had 2 tables now its onlyy take out. But lunch specaild are always good

Finally found our go-to Chinese food after trying a ton of different spots. Consistently good and always fresh.

I order from here all the time in cold weather. Their wonton soup is BANANAS! It's by far the best wonton soup I've ever had, even compared to very high end places. Flavorful and fatty broth, soft but not too soft wontons with very savory meat. I order 2 quarts at a time, my boyfriend and I usually finish them within the same day. He thinks there's too high of a wonton to broth ratio but I don't mind.

The fortune cookies are also very tasty with a strong but pleasant vanilla flavoring.

The delivery guys are always really nice but never obey the directions I leave on the order

I order very often from here. the store itself isn't the nicest looking chinese restaurant but i never dine in. i always pick up and the food doesn't disappoint! my go to is the general tso's combo with fried rice and it's the best i've had in the area. the workers are nice as well

Decent spot, the usual go-to/last minute spot. The food is not bad, but they have to work on hygiene. Hair-nets are not that expensive and should be used all the time. Found a nice strand of hair in my chicken and broccoli, needless to say, I lost my appetite.

Ordered for years. Food has gotten even worse. Last time inedible. Tried tonight for the last time & quoted 45 min, 1 hr 15 minutes later I call & they say "driver is busy today" he still hadn't come back to pick food up for delivery. Never again!
Stick with A/E, cleaner food & better service.

Tiny place to get some pretty good chinese food. Not great but not bad. I think they have 2 sitdown tables there. It is really a takeout place. They have coupons on their menu like many other places. Free parking in the rear of establishment.

Have been coming here for years because the quality of the food is much better than other places. The only thing I feel has gone down are the Egg Rolls. They used to have more pork and I believe I remember some shrimp in them but the last couple of times, it's like 99% veggie and 1% pork nothing else.

Just ordered for the first time 10/10. Hot food! FAST! And delicious.

Over and hour waiting.

Been ordering delivery from here since moving from NYC. Generous portions and good taste. Delivery times were very quick. Very affordable at least compared to what I'm use to.

I can't comment on the restaurant itself, but for quick and tasty delivery, give it a shot.

The bean curd dishes are very yummy, as are the dumplings.

Ordered pad thai from here about three times . Have not been disappointed. I have not tried anything else yet but will soon .

I had been hunting for a new Chinese food place when ours started to slack and be inconsistent but I wasn't happy with how the dishes were prepared. The meat was not the best quality and that is very important to me when ordering Chinese food.

Food took 1 hour and 20 minutes to arrive, food was cold, and short ribs were burnt. Can't really get a worse experience. Will never order from them again and neither should you. Don't waste your time.

Prepare your chop stix, young padawan. Great food! I've ordered from here for the past 5 Years now. The General Tsoa's combo platter is a must have. Your choice of fried, steamed or white rice with a beverage choice or soup or egg roll. Plenty of food to choose from and it's freshly made. You can't really go wrong especially when it's fairly priced too.

I order from East Wok once a week. I made a mistake ordering tonight.. my own mistake and realized it too late, but decided to call anyway to see if we could fix it. I was told the food already went out. Ok fine.. again it was my mistake. 40 minutes later the food finally comes ( after another call to ask why it's been out for 40 minutes already) and the food I ordered accidentally instead of the food I wanted wasn't even in the bag! Soooooo....Still can't give ZERO or a 1/2 Star huh?....food quality has been declining for weeks, but the wife is traveling and the child wants dumplings....Sooooo Tonight we reached a new low in a series of lows. Decided on East Wok and ordered fried wontons, chicken and spinach dumplings, fried chix wings and shrimp toast. In addition ordered chili oil for the wonton ( mix with malt vinegar for a great dipping sauce for the wontons) Paid by CC and thought things had changed....

Low and Behold the delivery arrives and the driver asks for cash-I explain that I gave a card he then tells me

THIS STORE IS THE WORST STORE I’VE EVER BEEN TO. NASTY ATTITUDES, SHE PUT SO MUCH SALT ON MY FRIES I COULD NOT EAT THEM. IT WAS SO DISGUSTING. DO NOT GO HERE. PLEASE. FOOD IS NASTY, I DO NOT KNOW HOW THEY ARE STILL IN BUISNESS.

Worst takeout experience of my life. Their driver doesn't understand a word of English. Had me walking around my building trying to find him. He then calls back (after he hands his phone to a random person on the street) to find out he's in the next town over. If you don't understand or read English, I'm sorry but you should not be doing this job. The instructions were placed very clear in Seamless.

Aside from the terrible service, the food is very mediocre and there are definitely better options in Cranford to choose from. Will not be ordering from here again.

Delivery estimate said 45-60 minutes...took every bit of that. Food was lukewarm when it arrived. Driver impatiently rang the doorbell multiple times until I opened the door like I was inconveniencing him for ordering food.

Ordered the hot peanut noodles (was SUPPOSED to be spicy, it wasn't)...it was SUPPOSED to be hot, it wasn't. In fact when it arrived it seemed like I was eating room temperature peanut butter, and it was almost as thick. VERY bland, and no spice to it at all.

I probably will not order again, which is a shame because it wasn't that bad in the past.

Ordered takeout on a Sunday night via grub hub. The food arrived faster than expected.

Food was good, very tasty and standard portion sizes. Hot and sour soup was really good.

I ordered delivery here and we may have ordered too much. I was a little worried since their menu was way too extensive.

We had the cheese wontons, which were as I expected.

Also, had the boneless spare ribs, which were alright but slightly overcooked to the point of too hard to bite into for me.

For the main course, we had the Szechuan meal with chicken, beef, and shrimp. Not spicy at all and I was looking for a good kick. It was just covered in sauce. I mean it was alright.

The boyfriend ordered the coconut chicken fried rice, which was alright. A bit on the oily side.

This used to be Chan's Kitchen but the family sold it. We are very glad they did, it has become our go to for Chinese food. You can't beat the online ordering system, fast easy and awesome that a user can view previous orders and get an email confirmation.

Have picked food up and also has it delivered, both times they were so courteous and a pleasure.

If you are seeking amazing Chinese food go to Chinatown..this is in my humble opinion the best in the area in terms of food quality, price and overall customer satisfaction.
