Services
Dr. Zach Davis grew up in Mesa, Arizona. After serving an LDS mission in Honduras and Belize, he attended Brigham Young University-Idaho and Arizona State University, where he graduated with a degree in biology. He went on to attend the University of the Pacific, San Francisco, where he earned his DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) degree.
A dental bridge is a non-removable dental appliance used to replace a missing tooth (or missing teeth). Bridges comprise two crowns which go over the teeth, adjacent to the gap. We call these abutment teeth. Between the crowns, we place an artificial tooth, known as a pontic. This tooth will look and function like a natural tooth.

We moved to Gilbert just over a decade ago and tried 4 different dentist offices, including 2 in the same plaza. BY FAR, San Tan Smiles is the best! Dr Davis and all the staff are knowledgeable, consistent and kind. We’ve been going here since 2016 and recently moved to Mesa but still continue to drive here because they are so amazing.
One example is that another dentist kept recommending treatments I didn’t think were necessary. When coming to Dr Davis, he is thoughtful and conservative about his recommendations. He goes through treatment plans and reviews all the options. San Tan Smiles

Dr. Davis convinced me to get some aesthetic crowns to close the gaps in my front teeth. Four years later, 3 of the 5 crowns he put in have chipped and cost me another 1500 to fix. It's a scam that will have you paying for repairs for the rest of your life. Not worth it! Not sure what composite he is using for his crowns but they are definitely not the best. Other dentists (who have fixed the chips) have been curious as to why they have begun chipping with so little time passing. Don't trust him.

First and foremost, I owe them $213.19.
However, they had the incorrect contact information for over 3 months. They kept leaving me messages saying they had something important for me. I ignored them because I thought they were trying to sell me something. Well, that something was a bill. They just recently got the correct address and sent it to me. With recently having a baby, we have not had the chance to call and pay it.
Then we receive this lovely letter threatning, "Please pay your balance now so we can avoid any further action, which will be unpleasant for both of us."

As someone who hesitates stepping foot into a dentist's office, I can begin to say this office is fantastic. From the assistants, to the hygienists, to Dr. Davis, they all are beyond exceptional. Dr. Davis is a very talented and efficient dentist, and at the end of the day, is the most honest dentist you'll have. He shows you all your options and will be genuine about what needs to be done and when. He is very compassionate about his work, which reflects upon the impeccable quality of dentistry he provides. I'd recommend this place for your dental needs.

I would like to say that the Smiles at San Tan Ranch Family Dentisitry were so easy to work with on my last 2 visits. Amanda, the dental hygienist is so thorough in tooth cleaning and also pointed out a fracture in my rear molar today. She filmed the image and displayed it to me prior to going to get Dr. Nelson. Amanda Is vigilant in making sure your teeth are thoroughly cleaned and well maintained. She is capable of spotting problems before they become expensive ones with your teeth. Finally, she is well rounded individual who has a HUMAN side to her that you just can't teach.

Dr Davis is hands down the best dentist I've ever had. He is conservative and won't push a treatment on me that he doesn't deem completely necessary. The support staff is great too. The hygienists are quick and gentle and very professional. My teeth feel the best they've felt in years-- and I go to the dentist regularly. The office staff is so helpful and worked with my crazy schedule to get me in when it was convenient for me. All in all this office is great through and through. San Tan Smiles for the win!!!

Horrible customer service, and people skills in general. Can't speak for the doctor himself but whoever the woman is that answers the phone, is ridiculous and unprofessional , not sure how she was even hired to work in an environment in which she has so much contact with "patients." What kind of dental staff asks a potential patient on the phone "what do you want" and also hangs up when they ask for a name to let the doctor know about their experience? also, the doctor leaves reviews for himself on google (search the practice yourself you will see reviews from "zach

I found this dentist on yelp and I must say wow. Everyone is so personable. They really take their time getting to know you, and getting your work done. No rushing they do it right. They are straight forward with cost and how to pay. Brittany was my hygienist and she did an amazing job. I already like going to the dentist. And I can't wait to come back here. I recommend to any and everyone!!

I have always been afraid of dentist , they could be the best of the best , still scared , never felt comfrontable at all at other places . Today that changed , from the time of talking to them on the phone , to walking into the office with friendly staff , no I didn't even have to worry about handling The insurance, to actually sitting in Back in the scary chair , for me scary chair ,I was so nervous from my bad experience before , I thought this would never happen . I really only go to dentist when I absolutely have to (root canals ). About every 6 years .

After having a bad experience at another dentist office, we were on the hunt for a new one. From calling to see if they took our insurance, scheduling appointments, checking in and checking out; we have been treated with respect and kindness.
This week I went in for a crown that needed done for a cracked tooth with a monster filling. The person who gave me the numbing shot (Stephanie?) did such an amazing job, I did not feel the needle go in.
