Services
A psychiatrist will do an assessment and will prescribe medications that may help with your condition. At Glendale Therapy Associates, we do not have psychiatrists on staff. A psychologist or therapist will do "talk therapy", psychotherapy, or counseling to help you understand your problems and change your behavior, thinking, or situation.
The therapeutic approach that he uses is a Brief Solution Focused Approach within a Systems Model, meaning when Jerry works with couples, families or individuals, he works within the context of the system (or the family).
Over the years, Mr. Andrews has found this approach to be very effective for his clients, as assessing and establishing natural supports, resources and positive change is very pervasive and leads to more successful outcomes with treatment.Throughout our life journey we are met with numerous personal, family, and relationship challenges.

It is extremely sad to see the state of therapy and to have it touted as though everyone should get help when the help offered is twisted by politics. Our therapist seemed to enjoy hearing himself talk more than he wanted to hear us talk. He only walked us through half of a tool before "certifying us" which means every session we would just get stuck in this awful complaint validation cycle. It took my own experience and research, based off a small comment our therapist made, to realize he left off the problem solving and resolution portion of that tool 😣 Before that I could ignore his political

My experience with Dr. Andrew Lawson changed the entire trajectory of my life. He educated me and gave me tools that I didn't even know existed. Gaining this new level of insight has been liberating and empowering. Thank you so much Dr. Lawson, I could never repay you for the wisdom and clarity that flows through me everyday. My husband and I were supposed to have our first appointment today with Gail Harper and as we got in the car to start heading over, we get a call to reschedule because she is out sick. If we had more of a heads up or they would at least answer their phones to reschedule we wouldn't be looking for someplace new. How am I supposed to trust them to help my marriage when now I can't even trust them to communicate with us about our therapist being out? Completely unprofessional. I am so disappointed.

Don't See Nancy Wetherell. Completely misinformed for someone in her field. She told me to get a "neurotransmitter test" done to check my serotonin, dopamine, etc. levels. Problem is, that DOESN'T exist. Not an accurate, scientifically credible one anyway. Immediate red flag. I tried asking if she meant some other type of genetic test, but she insisted that's what she meant. She couldn't tell me where I could find this test either. "It's online, just google it." Even asked my psychiatrist and he had no idea what she was talking about.
