Our team is committed to educating our clients on how to keep your pets healthy year round, with good nutrition and exercise. Hardin Animal Hospital is a full-service animal hospital and welcomes both emergency treatment cases as well as pet patients in need of routine medical, surgical, and dental care.
1. Payment is expected when services are rendered. In order to focus on our patients' needs, customer service and minimizing costs, we do not bill. 2. We accept debit cards, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express) checks and cash. All cards must be signed by the owner of the card.
We value our clients' experience at. If your pet or animal is currently a patient, please feel free to complete the following Client Experience Questionnaire. The Questionnaire is in Adobe Acrobat format, and requires the free Acrobat Reader to view. Dr V retired and left big shoes to fill. No one will ever be as good in my opinion, but with that said, the new doctor is wonderful.
Blood tests are an essential part of diagnosing what is ailing your pet, just as they are in human medicine. Blood tests can tell the veterinarian a myriad of things, from whether your pet is dehydrated to whether he or she has anemia to whether your cat or dog is suffering from cancer. Red blood cells are used to determine a number of factors.
When was the last time you had your pet's teeth cleaned? According to the AVMA, pets who have never had a teeth cleaning have signs of dental disease by the time they are three years old. For that reason, Hardin Animal Hospital recommends that all pets have a yearly dental cleaning and oral examination.

I took my dog in after 2 weeks to get her stitches removed and once i got home, her wound was opened! She had her cone on and did nothing but lay down after we left.. i tried explaining to them over the phone but they were set on how it was probably my dogs fault.. i paid $850 just so the stitches that she had didnt work.. they wouldnt even offer me a refund or to put stitches back in for free i basically paid all that money for nothing! I will never take my animals back there and i suggest nobody does this place sucks and is way to overpriced!

I can't give them enough stars. Needed emergency vet on Saturday. To remove a large fish hook from our dogs jaw. All locals were closed or referred us to Modesto & Elk Grove. We got in after 11 am, she had surgery, & was done & home ahead of schedule (before 1:30). So welcoming, super friendly & very comforting. Sounds like a forever vet for us. Happy, Happy, Happy.

Horrible service. I've been coming to this vet for over 15 years and the service has gone down hill rather quickly. The new veterinarian who took over only seems to care about money. I was quoted $1,200 on a procedure that my dog supposedly needed but after 2 other opinions, my dogs problem was fixed with a pill. Be careful coming here.

If I could do 0 stars I would! Read my google review and their response. They are saying we declined their treatment plan??? We were given Options and went with their recommendation of proving antibiotics and pain meds as they stated our dog had eaten a bee or an animal. They don't care, they seem to be incompetent.

If I could give this less than one star I would. DrA , he said to call him is totally incompetent and he let our Zoey die. He didn't try to help her and prescribed medicine that was useless. An antibiotic shot could have helped and also if he'd have used his supposedly educated head he should have known what her issue really was. Time is of the essence and he ket 2 days go and he should know that little dogs can go down fast. Wish Dr Vicuรฑa was still there. They claim he wants his name in the business still even though he sold his practice. They are not doing anything for his reputation

Dr V retired and left big shoes to fill. No one will ever be as good in my opinion, but with that said, the new doctor is wonderful. Prices are higher but fair and pretty much the going rate. Dr is knowledgeable, friendly and to the point. Not pushy. Very good experience for me and my dogs. Very calm environment, great customer service. Nice and caring staff. I really appreciated that they got me in last minute because my dog was in a lot of pain. Highly recommend this vet.

I have 3 dogs and I've been taking my dogs to Hardin hospital for 11 years now until the original doctor retired. Now they have new staff, new doctors and they're horrible! You don't realize what you have till you lose it , and I wish the old doctor would come back.
My first visit with the new staff was ok and with the doctor she did an exam but didn't do anything. All she did was rub her hands on my dogs body and that was it!!! I'm spending money on horrible service!!!!!! And they're expensive!! Run away and take your animals else where!! And they wanted exams

Go to this animal hospital if you want to leave feeling like a bad dog owner. They just care about money and not about your dog's wellbeing. You go for some shots and they pop up with an entire list of things your dog needs reaching up to thousands of dollars and if you say no they just show disapproval. You can't get vaccines if you don't get an "examination". Examination fee is $35.

Do not bring your pet here. My dog went in for pyometra I was told two different stories by staff and doctor. She did not recover her organs went in to failure because of blood pressure. They never stated this could happen but prescribed medication for organ failure. They are deceiving and unprofessional. My dog died shortly after her surgery. They are only out for money .

Dr. A is very knowledgeable. The staff really tries to get to the root of difficulty problems. I had taken my dog to several vets for his skin problems, with no results and several thousand dollars later. Dr. A figured it out. My dog has almost recovered fully in one month. Prices are fair and service is thorough.

Only vet I wanna take my cats to now. I previously had to take my younger cat there and my wife loved them. Now I do too my cat clay was attacked by a dog on Tuesday and broke her leg into three pieces I took her to another clinic because it was before Hardin opened and I panicked the people there were helpful but not very friendly, they don't perform surgery there so I called Hardin they took me almost right away actually allowed me in the building with clay and talked me through everything on the estimate to help me understand it this place has people that care about your animal more then

I recently got my dog neutered here and when I came to pick him up after being neutered, he smelled terrible. I mean just terrible, he smelled like he was left in old pee and feces all day long. When I asked the lady at the front about more in depth information about the take home medication she rudely yelled and told me if I didn't want them, she would take them back. I would not recommend taking your pet here, I wouldn't any of your pets to be treated the same way my dog was.

My heart is broken and I can't sleep because every time I shut my eyes I see flashbacks of how my 18 year old sweet cat was brutally abused by a male vet tech when I took her in to see why she suddenly quit eating.
I explained everything about why I brought her in to another vet tech who then took her from me and said they were going to examine her in the back and I could wait in the waiting room. I figured this was because with Covid they were trying to keep the exam rooms free so they could see more pets.

Let me say I really liked the old doctor but I had a terrible experience. My dog had a growth and they took x-rays which other vets said they don't know why they took a x-ray cause it won't show what it is. $500 later the vet sees the x-ray and says oh it looks like he has cancer but she's not sure till the X-ray guy looks at it. So me devastated thinking the worst seating at home crying then I get a call saying they're not sure what it is but it's not cancer at which point the vet says oh I like to go with the worst case scenario. Who does that really who does that! โ

Please be aware we paid for our dog visit using our debit card and we just got charged 2 times for $126.00 dollars!! I called the Hardin and I spoke to the receptionist and I was told that it will be fix it has been more than 2 weeks and nothing has been resolve! Please check your account my father in law got double charge too!! This is scam!! They are refusing to refund the unauthorized 2nd charge!

This is not the Hardin Hospital you used to know. They'll charge you for an overnight stay but thrown your pet in a cage at 430 pm until 830 am to die alone. You're made to think your animal will receive 24 hour care, meds and treatment to save their life when actually they are not.
I will update with more details and photos in a bit. PLEASE do your research. Do not choose this hospital. The good doctor and his techs that used to stay over night to tend to the animals are no longer here.

New management, new doctors, new staff, new producers and new (high) prices. This is not the same Hardin hospital any more.
I have been a customer at Hardin for about 5-6 years. I had my dogs shots here, their exams when they don't feel well, their surgeries too. I also recommended my friends who live near by Stockton to come to this clinic for their pets. That is all going to change.
Today I took my dogs in for their annual shots, told the staff they only needed bordetella shots, nothing else. I waited an hour, I didn't have an appointment so I understand, then the staff finally took

Pat has been my babies' doctor for over 16 years. Yes, I am one of those whom considers her animals babies.
We have been through the ups and downs w/my many animals. I have never seen a vet share a tear with anybody when a baby has passed. Pat is the best vet in Stanislaus and San Joaquin, in my opinion. Pat is knowledgeable, creative and takes care when working with my brats.
I am willing to struggle to find the $$ for gas and a ride to Stockton from Riverbank just to keep Pat as my babies' vet. They deserve the best!

NO ONE SHOULD EVER COME HERE. I would NEVER tell anyone to go here now.
I don't know when or much less how this new owner thinks he is anywhere near the same level as Vicuna. I can tell you he is far from it. The female manager is EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE. She charged my brother for our elderly cat incorrectly, sent someone outside and asked if he could pay the rest of the invoice. He complied and paid what she said was the rest of the bill.

Hardin animal hospital is all about the bait and switch. Please check your itemized bill! My heart breaks that I have to place this testimonial! After 30 years and over 15 pets..(dogs,cats, bunnies) Hardin (HEARTBREAK) animal hospital no longer cares about the animals and will switch the Quoted price. They did it to our pet fam twice in one week!! After days my cat cannot eat due to the trauma experienced! When my wife returned for the free check up the clinic did some unapproved procedures and hit her up for over $150,after she left the clinic. We have paid them over

Dr.V left and the new management is horrible! I will not be bringing my dog back! I hate that after 12 years she has to go somewhere else. First they insisted that my dog was 16 years umm no she's 13 ! And then they couldn't find us in the system saying that we have never been here and stated that the other staff must have deleted the record! Umm what the heck no! The new doctor wasn't friendly at all which explains his staff! They are rude and not very professional! Also you have to sign all these papers at the end of the visit what is the point of this ! I took my baby to have a lump checked on her neck (fatty tissue) and made an appointment to have her teeth cleaned. She had 3 teeth extracted & now has 5 teeth left. I worried about her but she's doing just is fine now.
I've been taking my Lily to 3 different vets in town & 1 in Lodi. They were all ok, but I felt good about having Dr Vicuรฑa treat her. He's a quiet man, but knowledgeable. The staff is nice. Especially Dominique. She's very sweet.
