Our annual examinations are valuable in staying up to date with your pets health condition. We can help select a good pet food & control / prevent diseases through diet to help pets live longer, happier & healthier lives. We have the latest technology in Digital X-ray and are one of the few hospitals in the County to have an ultrasound machine.
With doors opened in the 1960's, we have a long-standing positive reputation throughout the County. We are proud to have modern equipment that helps us provide the best standards of care for our patients. After 2 trips to vet this week alone, both unexpected and urgent, I am 100% convinced there is no better vet around than Dr. Boden here at Walker Veterinary Hospital.

Services
At Walker Veterinary Hospital, we promote regular preventative wellness examinations as they are very important for early detection of medical problems and can be wonderfully assuring if no problems exist. The care should start as early as a puppy or kitten and continue on until their geriatric years to keep your pets as healthy as possible.
At Walker Veterinary Hospital, we believe in "we are what we eat." Nutrition is especially important, and we can guide you through the process of selecting the best diet based on your concerns and your pet's needs. We can control and prevent certain diseases through the right diet, which will help our pets live longer, happier and healthier lives.
Our veterinarians are proficient in elective procedures in addition to other minor or more complicated surgeries. Our patients are closely monitored before, during and after surgery. Please call us to schedule an appointment for consultation so we can provide a better plan and estimate so all your concerns can be addressed.
The most important step in giving your pet a happy, healthy life is to ensure they are properly vaccinated. At Walker Veterinary Hospital, we want to protect your pet from the possible diseases your pet is exposed to based on their lifestyle. Vaccines, or immunizations, contain a substance that stimulates the pet's immune system to build antibodies against targeted infections.
Most pet owners are surprised to learn about the need for dental care for their animals. That probably explains why we see so many dental problems that could have been prevented. At Walker Veterinary Hospital, oral health prevention is very important. Periodontal (gum) disease is one of the most common diseases affecting our pets.

It's been several years since Dr Boden sold this business to a group of other veterinarians. Quality of service immediately went down the toilet. They have one priority, money. Their services are outrageously priced compared to the competition. They will not hesitate to recommend services that other veterinarians say are not necessary. They discontinued sending out health care reminders like vaccination and check up reminders. They just have no customer orientation whatsoever. I do miss Dr Boden and his level of service. I've had to choose another veterinarian.

I have been going to Walker Veterinary before it became a corporation. My 16 1/2 year old Doxie, Shakespeare fell on Thursday and landed on his right shoulder. I called to get him in and was told did not have an appointment till the following Monday! Shakespeare started to deteriorate to where he could not walk, drink, etc. and started crying. At 2:00 a.m. I took him to the Emergency Clinic at Hammer and West Lane. (They are wonderful!) I explained what happened and the doctor could not believe how long Walker Veterinary were going to take to get him in. Shakespeare became so sick, I had to make

Thank you so much for the love and care you gave my baby, Frakie. It was pretty bleak but you gave him the best chance for survival.
Franke had Feline PARVO.....fatal in kittens. Frankie was 14 weeks old. You gave us 3 days with Frankie that we probably would not have had....THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.

I had made week long boarding reservations for my Siamese and my Chihuahua two weeks before my flight. They instructed me on the vaccinations needed to board. Day before, I called to establish a drop off time and was told that they were not boarding at this time. She said they were gonna be remodeling, sorry for the inconvenience. What if I would have dropped them off on my way to the airport? Never did anyone reach out to notify me! (BAD BAD BAD BAD BUSINESS). Even when you call there, they ALWAYS seem like their chasing their tails. Never again

DONT GO HERE!!! Paid over $200 over 9 months ago for my cats shots, took her to get spayed at another clinic today and I'm being told she is in fact not a female, he's a male and it is chipped so now they're calling the owners to check if they still want him back. So I paid over $200 for nothing? What kind of business is this? I'm in shock! .... too pricy for unprofessional work

Fantastic! Dr. Hung was very patient and let us ask a million questions. Our baby girl (8 year old ACD) had a secondary infection from allergies but her paws and ears cleared up in just a couple days, but we are still finishing antibiotics. Vet care isn't cheap but they were reasonable and efficient. It was worth every penny to get our precious pup back to health! Thank you to the staff at Walker for providing such good care!

I have been going to Walker Vet for about four years now. The office staff is always friendly and loving to my fur-babies. However, their prices have gotten out of control. They just charged me $600 for x-rays and $300 for blood work without finding the cause of my dog's symptoms. After doing some research, I learned these rates were more than double what other local vets are charging. I trust them to care for my pets but I can't keep afford their rates.

Since Dr boden has retired it is obvious that customer service is not a priority. Receptionist have a in deferent attitude on the verge of flip it.
Had a tumor removed from one of my dogs and was a complete hack job by I believe Kathy allen the incision was misaligned leaving skin on both ends of wound protruding. When picking her up the staff behaved as it was a burden to answer questions. I will not be recommending walker vet again and will be letting all my pet owning friends to steer clear

First visit: no introduction, barely greeted by vet. She merely looked at my brother's cat and seemingly dismissed the Kitty's bloody stool.
No bloodwork, weighing, anything typical of what i expect during an initial exam. Given antibiotics eventhough we were not told what was wrong, jus told to give her fiber.
Second visit: My cat for her first annual check up
This was during pandemic so I didn't get to go in with my cat. I described symptoms I that had me concerned. Was called by vet; again no introduction. Was told my cat did not display any symptoms I described and felt summarily

So disappointed in the current staff at walker veterinary hospital. My cat needed dental work, $500 for blood work plus office visit to see if he could even get the dental work then $1,600 for the actual dental plus another office visit then they have the nerve to charge me for the recheck appointment, that's 3 office visits for one procedure! In the middle of all this, I took my dog in to get his nails cut and 10 minutes later they bring him out saying they couldn't cut his nails because he squirmed too much. I've been bringing my animals to this veterinary hospital for several

I hate to write this review. You can see the difference after Dr. Boden sold the practice the Vets do not care about animals. It used to be about the animals now it it is solely about money. The Vet, and I do not remember her name, barely examined my cat before suggesting almost $900 worth of tests. No empathy, She argued with me when i called her on it. It was also a bait and switch, she said x-rays then ordered a ton of blood work. Now that there is not a quality Vet there do not go.
This review is strictly on new ownership it used to be a 5 Star vet

Highly recommend them for cremation of fur-babies. The staff is very courteous and helpful. The price is very affordable and I was able to get my fur baby's ashes in less time than they had initially agreed to. I've had this service done in the past with another vet and the whole experience and final outcome was terrible from start to finish and I paid a lot more for it.
If you need cremation services come here, your baby will be well taken care of. They are very affordable and treated him with dignity and respect from what I can see. They were also gentle and warm with me and I really
