Dr "A" and his staff are absolutely amazing. Dr A actually takes the time time to explain things to you in terms that you will understand. He is very patient asks a lot of questions and is extremely detail oriented. He will give you honest suggestions and recommendations and it won't cost you an arm and a leg! All the ladies who work here are friendly, understanding and very accommodating.

I gave it two stars only because the Doctor is great and very knowledgeable. However, I wasn't happy with the staff. I felt like I'm just a number. I was convinced my dog needed to be put down. I called and was told to come in right away. I understand there might be a wait. When I came in they didn't know why I was there. I had 4 different people come up to me and ask who we were and why we were there. I'm in tears the whole time this was happening.

Dr A is the best!!! I am a human doctor and was unhappy at West Toledo after they missed my dog’s throat cancer.
Dr A does a thorough physical exam and explains things well. He astutely picked up on some additional lymph nodes missed at other vets. He was super caring and i am happy my dog got to pass peacefully with a Vet that cared about him. I was always able to call and ask med questions. Staff is great and always calls back the same day!!!

Last year we got a new rabbit and had no idea of the gender. I was recommended to them by some amazing people. They were able to schedule me an appointment a couple hours after I called. Super awesome on that note. When we got there, I didnt mind waiting a bit because they were fairly busy and I was just appreciative of being able to get an appointment the same day. After that, things declined. The doctor checked and found out my rabbit was a beautiful girl! He did a very speedy and vague exam to make sure she was all right. I was referred to Dr. A by a client of mine, after expressing my concerns about my pet’s treatment at a nearby clinic. Dr. A ALWAYS takes time to explain not only what’s happening from a medical standpoint, but the pros and cons of each course of treatment possible. He does not push medication as a first resort, which I love. He has creative treatment plans and is always so patient and kind, even with my persnickety chihuahua. I used to go to a vet on Airport Highway and every time I went I felt so uncomfortable, so my fiance and I saw reviews for Westside Vet Hosp. There's nothing but raving reviews so we decided to switch all our animals. Dr. Albalakousy is AMAZING! We are 100% glad we switched and understand why there is no negative feedback! One of our kitties has a bad liver problem so we've been to Dr. A 3 times this year already. She's had to stay a week and then 2 check ups so far after. Chancy has been on 3 different meds daily, she needs to be force feed through a syringe multiple times a day

I am so grateful for Dr. Albalakousy and his amazing staff. I am so happy I live so close to such an amazing Veterinary Hospital. My baby girl Ellie has Addison's and has to get a steroid shot monthly. She is excited to go and see Dr. A and the ladies who take such good care of her. They have saved her life twice and for that I am forever grateful. I highly recommend them with anyone's fur babies. Always busy but always attentive to everyone's needs.

Dr. Abdel has been our veterinarian for a few years now and the only regret I have is that we didn't find him sooner. He is very knowledgeable and extremely compassionate. I was also happy to find out that he is a vegetarian. I highly highly recommend Westside Veterinary Hospital!

Dr. Balakousy is the best! He really cares for our pets. He has been most accommodating, and you just feel that he really cares, not that you are just a random patient. Taking my cat to the vet usually means that something is seriously wrong, so its not a good time. Westside makes the worst times into the best experience possible. I cant thank them enough.

I cannot say enough about our first of many visits to Westside Vet. First of all, the techs and receptionists are very kind and friendly! We brought our puppy in for her shots and during that time the receptionist entertained my 4 year old son with fun coloring pages. Dr, Albalakousy is SO thorough, explaining everything so well and even did a full exam of our puppy, while describing everything he was looking at and why he was doing so. He described breed specific characteristics and health concerns as well as training tips! After our pup got her shots he told us things to expect and look out for
