If you are ready to challenge yourself, to push through, and all that other good stuff, I welcome you. If you have been waiting for private training environment where you can focus distraction and stress-free, this will be your new home. If you have been unsure where to begin, I am here to give you that extra push to get things going.

Whatever motivation or drive it is that has led you here, I am here to keep that fire alive. Through movement, strength, and friendship, I hope you will get more than you asked for or thought possible. Come train pressure-free, in privacy, and at your own pace. There aren't too many things in life that you can control, but your body is the one thing you arguably have the most control of.
Services
Preparation: Teaching all basic movements and exercises, correctives, mobility, etc. This can be the shortest or longest phase depending on the client's experience, commitment, and restrictions/imbalances. Recovery/Mobility: Foam rolling, stretching, release. Part of preparation and constantly revisited to cement healthy habits.
Most of my clients can tell you the amount of time I invest in teaching self care techniques (foam rolling, breathing, mobility drills). They might also tell you that they just don't have the time or commitment to keep a consistent routine. As I encountered this road block time and time again, becoming a massage therapist was the next logical path to take as I could then take the reins manually.

I have been going to Michael for massages for over a year now, but I leave with homework. He provides exercise/stretch assignments based on my body's needs, and really takes the time to explain why he makes that recommendation and how it would impact my body.

The first session, he evaluated my body and pointed out things I didn't know were taking its toll. When he asked me to do upper torso twists, he asked if my desk set up resulted with everyone approaching me to my left. Uh, yes ...?

He is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about what he does.

After a year of working with Michael, I've lost 26 pounds, 6% body fat, and 9 inches off my waist, but more importantly, I've gained a lot of strength, confidence, and awareness of my body. Michael is not about fad diets or exercise routines. He's about teaching you how to take better care of yourself in the long run, and if you keep at it, working with him makes a lasting difference.

If I were a prospective client, I would be wary of Michael's perfect 5 star reviews--because I was at first! I moved to Lincoln Heights in 2010 and have book marked this place after I gave birth to my son. Finally, after not being able to lose my baby weight (or not really knowing how to start), I gave Michael a call and received a text that he was not able to take my phone call. I'm not sure if I have ever talked to him on the phone now that I think about it but we text regularly after that initial consultation.

In a world where you can get fitness training anywhere, Michael stands out for three main reasons. First, he is truly concerned about your holistic health needs. Nothing is ever routine because he is optimizing around what he sees your body may need on that certain day. You have some flexibility issues. He'll address that. You have a bad knee that day. He'll fix that.
Back muscles aren't firing as well as they should. He'll fix that. It's not simply about doing the exercises, but addressing the underlying issues to get the most of the workout.

I'm so happy and thankful that I found Michael. I had gained a lot of weight and eventually my doctor put me on blood pressure medication. Thats when I knew that I had to do something. I tried dieting and working out at the gym, but was never consistent nor did I have the will power to push myself. That's when I started to search for a trainer and I found Michael. I searched for a trainer who could show me how to eat healthier and push me to work out and of course be affordable. Trainers can be very expensive.

My first impression of Michael was that, he is super chilled, good listener

Michael is quite possibly the best trainer I've ever had. I think what really makes him stand out is how he explains WHY you're doing what you're doing. WHY this hurts or that aches. Rather than just putting together a random assortment of exercises that may or may not work, Michael actually interviews you for quite a while to really get to the core of your problems and/or what you want to accomplish. Michael Lam is a physical trainer located in the neighborhood of Lincoln Heights, just northeast of downtown, Los Angeles. I've been training off and on for the last two months. Mike is an awesome trainer and is very understanding. He is extremely patient and kind.
He really listens to your needs. He has built my workouts around my specific needs. I don't feel overwhelmed when I'm working out. I once hated the gym now because of Offline fitness I look forward to it. The best part he is very affordable.

This guy is great and affordable. I have to say training with him has changed my life. Michael is sensitive to your limitations and really works with your strengths and weaknesses to get you strong, fit and healthy. The best part is, it is all one on one in a private studio. If you are like me, an uncoordinated weakling, Michael is very patient in teaching you the correct way to work out to avoid injury. I am on my 3rd week of training and can see differences in my posture and the way my clothing fits. What Michael teaches you will also translate into your every day life.

If anybody's gonna get you fit, I know that he's the guy to go to. Awesome personality, great looks, and very knowledgeable. If you have any concerns, he will guide you through it the best he can. He won't let you down. Just don't expect change overnight! Make sure that you're coming here with 100% commitment to training.
