The Derby Method focuses on four unique cornerstones of health and fitness: Movement Efficiency, Movement Effectiveness, Goal-Centered Nutrition, and Consistency. The assessments, programs, nutrition guidance, and encouragement you'll receive will be tailored to your definition of strength and designed using the four fitness cornerstones to ensure that you reach your goals quickly and safely.

By staying current with the latest scientific literature, any guesswork is taken out of the equation. You can be sure that the exercises and nutrition information you receive is effective and safe, current, and tested. No matter what your definition of strength you can be sure that the guidance you'll receive from Derby Method will deliver lasting results.
Services
Derby Method has been delivering results and creating lasting relationships with clients since its establishment in southern Vermont in 2014. My goal is to create exciting individual programs that address the personal goals of each client while providing them with exercises that will help to lessen chronic pain and reduce the risk of injury.
All in person and virtual training also includes diet coaching and exercise programs. After an in-depth initial assessment and goal setting session (free of charge) I will develop a training program that will deliver the results you want to see while making sure the body is moving and functioning in a healthy way.

Derby Method has changed my life!

I am so much healthier and happier with my body (image), fitness routine, strength, stamina and and approach to food/nutrition.

I lost fat and gained muscle in a very short time and now look forward to working out - which had not been the case in my 7 years at Equinox gym. (It's a very nice gym, but my workouts were inconsistent and not effective, nor did I take into account the nutritional aspect of my health regimen.)

Sean Derby personalizes each workout so you will never get bored; he has a great personality, seemingly infinite knowledge about health

I’ve had many personal trainers over the years and I can honestly say no one had the technical ability and genuine care that I experienced with Sean. His ability to communicate, help me hit all my goals, and fine tune the workout to meet my needs was simply unparalleled. This guy will someday change the fitness game, for now, I’m lucky to know him while he’s affordable!

Sean’s ability to work one on one so you can achieve your goals is the best I’ve experienced.
I had never been able to stick to any sort of plan to see quick progression until I worked with Sean. He wants to see you do your best and it shows. Would recommend and refer anyone to Sean.

Sean is great. As an older man, I just need a workout that helps me but more importantly doesn't hurt me. Sean is always watching my form and willing to change it up if I get a pain in this mature body.

I have had numerous personal trainers over the years. By far and without exception, Sean is the top of the food chain when it comes to personal trainers. I have been training with Sean for over five years and not only have i obtained what I initially set as my goal, he is always introducing new work outs (to keep it fresh) as he continually fine tunes the work out to ensure not only to maintain what my body has changed into, and also to ensure that the benefits I have derived from having him as my personal trainer continue so as to the bar constantly changes to way and above what my goals were
