Sometimes a disease, accident or genetic disorder can make it necessary for a person to have a good portion of their teeth extracted. They can also help you preserve bone, make eating your favorite foods easier, and help preserve your smile and facial structure. Dentures are custom-made, and multiple dental appointments are needed to achieve the right fit and appearance.
Digital x-rays are the standard for modern dental offices, and what we use at Jennifer H. Cho DDS, FAGD Family & Cosmetic Dentistry. With 80% less radiation than traditional x-rays, digital radiography is quicker, safer, more comfortable, and convenient. Another benefit of digital x-rays is that they provide more diagnostic information.
Later on in life, "wisdom teeth" can cause pain due to poor positioning, and removal becomes necessary. A broken or infected tooth that cannot be restored is another situation that necessitates an extraction. While having a tooth extracted is never fun, Dr. Cho can help you stay as comfortable as possible, and reduce any anxiety.
Invisalign is a nice alternative to traditional braces that is more comfortable and more aesthetically pleasing. Using a series of thin clear custom trays created in a dental lab, the trays worn in succession gradually move your teeth into alignment. Teeth that aren't properly aligned can be difficult to keep clean.
They are also used to treat a variety of dental issues including gum infection, sensitive teeth and cold sores. Diode lasers can be used after a healthy dental cleaning or deep cleaning to kill any residual bacteria, reduce inflammation, comfortably clean away diseased tissue, increase circulation, and shorten overall healing time.

"Oh, no! I have to go to the dentist today!!" That's not me, talking; I love my dentist and the beautiful work she does on my teeth! The nicest teeth in my mouth are beautiful white crowns made by Dr. Cho. She's young, went to UCLA Dental School, and she makes the old gold crowns done by former dentists look ugly. (But I'm old, so these go back years.) The other folks in Dr. Cho's office are as warm and friendly as Dr. Cho. It's a pleasure to see them there every six months or so. "Yay! I am a longtime patient, and this practice feels like family. Dr. Cho is just plain excellent, and I like her a lot, too. Her staff are warm and helpful. Moreover, I feel relaxed during my treatments--which is saying a lot. The office has been very good about dealing with my two insurance policies, which I'm sure is maddening. I'm just very grateful to have this high level of care.
