Services
Meichell Worthing is a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in treating PTSD/C-PTSD. She holds a BA in Psychology with a minor in both Special Education and Religion/Philosophy from Piedmont College. Her MA is in Community Counseling from Regent University. Lighthouse also contracts with AGI, PiN Ministries and local churches to provide mental health services to the homeless and uninsured.

My experience with this company has been great. I've been with various counselors and with Lighthouse counseling I've been able to work on my healing process and feel safe and comfortable sharing my thoughts and feelings. It's feels great to work on my healing process and feel like I'm not alone or being judged. Everyone is very friendly and understanding.

I am and will forever be grateful for the delicate, patient and courageous counseling we received from Meichell. I brought my daughter who had been unspeakably hurt and Meichell was able to see and understand things that others couldn’t. She built trust and made it a priority to help rebuild trust with me. I am wanting to share my experience with this therapist / owner of this company I have been seeing. In the beginning, she was very patient, kind, focused, and a wonderful therapist. I felt I had made progress with all the trauma I have had over the course of my life. To me, it was progress that seemed good and on track with the amount of abuse and trauma I have had. But as time went on, she started to be less patient with me and got frustrated. I was not even with her but a year if that. She would say very hurtful things which made me feel that my progress was not good enough or far enough along

I am a LPC in Virginia for 10 years. I confidently refer clients dealing complex trauma and dissociation for the experience, compassion and commitment to truth and healing for which Meichell and her team contend.
