Disappointing in Lia...I had Chef Geoff when it was on Rockville Pike and felt the food and restaurant were amazing. Lia seemed more like and restaurant for older people...no disrespect intended. It seemed out of date... I had the shrimp scampi which was good very rich...my son had the ribeye which lacked flavor and was on a bed of Alfredo noodles...mash potatoes would've been better. The brussels sprouts were very good a lot of leaves and not enough pieces of Brussels sprouts my son had the risotto balls which were delicious as well... Service was excellent I'll server whose name

I went to Lia's because it was on the DC restaurant week list. I have never been there before or even knew it existed. Everyone there was very nice. I got there earlier than my friend and sat at the bar and had a lovely Malbec. The bar is in a separate wing than the dining room. There is bar seating and also hightop tables. The lighting is very romantic and it's a nice atmosphere. When my partner arrived, we were led to the dining room, a nice little back area separate from the main dining room. They gave us plenty of time to enjoy our wine and make up our minds. There was no special

I ordered some food for the office, there were people whom had food allergies None of the food was labeled. The staff and myself had to figure out what salad belongs to who. It was crazy, I've never ordered at a place that didn't take the time to label the food, especially knowing that people had food allergies. The burgers were cold and were cooked dry, the bread was hard and dry. This place is over priced and the quality of food was horrible.

Took the team from work here on December 9 for our holiday lunch. I was looking for an outdoor heated patio that seated 9 that was close-ish to our office in Rockville. This was really hard to find! Lots of places had heaters that were out of commission, only had heated seating for up to 6 people (in yurts/greenhouses, etc.), didnt have heaters at all or had closed their outdoor space for the season. It was really important to me to find an outdoor venue since several people have health issues and/or have young kids and wouldn't have attended if they were inside.

Met a girlfriend for lunch today and we both enjoyed our meal.
The host wasn't the most helpful but he wasn't rude either. His manager arrived and sat me immediately at a nice table. White tablecloths, nice ambience, comfortable seating.
Server was delightul - not too pushy while still being infomative. Nice smile on his face. Checked in with us a couple of times but wasn't intrusive. Didn't rush us out the door as we sat and talked. I made sure to tip very well and he thanked me a couple of times.
Menu is quite diverse and I think the pricing is fine. I had the chopped

We enjoy the ambience here very much. The staff is attentive & accommodating, helping to give the place a lovely feel.
I had the roasted chicken & my husband had the boar bolognese. We were both very happy with our food. And we had enough left over to take home for a second meal,
We were disappointed, however, with our fried calamari appetizer. It looked good but was rubbery,

This is the second time I've come here. The first time I was given a table and then bever waited on. I waited for 15 minutes before finally walking out. (It was during the summer of 2021). Today, it is Nov. 9, 3021. I came into the bar and was received well enough. But I was never asked how my meal was. I ordered the pesto pizza. No flavor. I was offered extra cheese and red pepper but other than that, never checked up on. Pizza was bland. No flavor and they put corn on it. ??? Wish I liked this place more. I live nearby. Would be nice to have a good place to go to.

It's been a while.... We missed one of our favorite places to grab a bite. They have a great outdoor seating from high top tables that you can get happy hour specials to regular seating. The calamari was Fabulous, yes calamari could go terribly wrong. Risotto balls I feel in the past tasted better or maybe it was the texture, was a bit rubbery. Husband and son loved the turkey burger! My daughter liked her giant Lia burger. My pizza I didn't enjoy for the first time. Something about it was making me not like it. I think it was the grilled onions that tasted like they came from a burger and the

My go to restaurant in Chevy Chase for amazing happy hour specials, delicious pizza, friendly servers and overall laid back and fun experience. Most recently I had the risotto balls (yum!) and the broken meatball pasta - so good! And we went on a Sunday so bonus it was happy hour! Jimmy at the bar was wonderful as usual!

We've have been coming to Lia's for over 10 years now and we absolutely love it - from the outdoor dining, to the happy hour specials, to the mega mugs! We went to dinner for this past week and had exceptional service starting at the host stand we were pleasantly greeted by Jake, once seated Michael graciously waited on us with unparalleled service, and many others checked in on us with our busy 14 month old baby. They could not have been more helpful - from pulling up a high chair, the kids menu, crayons, kids cup with lid all while my husband and I enjoyed our meals and adult beverages

Outdoor dining area was spacious, service wasn't attentive but nice enough. The second courses were brought to the table before the table was cleared. The price was reasonable. The food portions tend to be large.
5*Fried Calamari, crispy and delicious.
1*Artichoke: undercooked, poor flavor, definitely won't order it again
2*Fig & prosciutto bruschetta: bread was soggy, presentation poor, tasted so-so. Lots of room
for improvement. Not up to par with the other dishes.
5*Triple berry spinach salad: ingredients and flavors were were great combination. The best and most healthy salad

Back when I went to AU, this was my parents favorite place to take me for dinner and they had an early bird 3 course dinner special that made it very affordable. My father was in town after not seeing us for over a year and a half, so I chose to take him back here with my fiancé for Fathers Day dinner. Unfortunately, probably since not enough people are eating out yet, they are no longer doing the special they used to have. Nonetheless, the food was still wonderful. We started with lemonade (which I think is homemade) and a 32 ounce big sized Chef's Geoff's Ale. Our first course we

Wow, I am pleasantly surprised by this restaurant and their food. My husband works just across the way and we always pass this place, finally we decided to stop and I'm glad we did. The service was excellent. The staff was attentive and nice.
The food blew me away. We ordered their calamari and it's probably the best calamari I've ever had. The chefs know exactly how long to fry it for because it was the most tender calamari ever and I've tried so many. It was soft enough to pull apart but obviously completely cooked through. It was coated in a batter that was light and crispy

I came for lunch during their restaurant week deal, which was a really great deal. They offered 1 appetizer, 2nd course, and dessert for $22. I ended up getting the calamari for my appetizer, which was so delicious! Perfectly crispy. Then, I ordered the Veal Marsala, and I was very disappointed with the dish. The veal seemed overcooked and dry so I gave my food to a friend. My friend's steak was also cooked well done even though he asked for medium rare. They ran out of all the dessert items except for the cookie skillet, which was fine because it was delicious! The chocolate chip cookie was

Me and my fiance just ate here around 4pm on a Saturday afternoon. We were the only customers inside. We ordered their CG burger and the grilled chicken burger. Both were excellent and we would love to come back for more. They have a lot of seats inside and outside. Bathrooms are clean. Parking is easily available through a garage. Service was quick and friendly. Price is fair with the quality of food you are getting. I would love to come back again and I highly recommend this place

Being a fan of Chef Geoff, my family and I decided to have dinner at LIA's. In summary, it was a memorable night with impeccable service. While waiting for guests, we ordered a few drinks including the Harvest Mule and Sparkling Cider Sangria, both of which are light, sweet, and fruity. The Harvest Mule consisted of a blend of vodka, apple cider, spiced syrup, and ginger beer. The Sparkling Cider Sangria consisted of white wine, ginger brandy, apple cider, and cinnamon syrup. We shared an order of Crispy Calamari, which was served with lemon and two dipping sauces - classic marinara and lemon

We enjoyed these 2021 Winter Restaurant Week meals for four very much! The appetizers were well made, bruschetta were gently prepared, and calamari were greatly tasty. The veal was tender, swordfish and salmon were soft and juicy. The shrimp pasta had good amount of ingredients. Both chocolate cake and apple crumble were very delicious.

I showed up, and LIA'S showed out during
Restaurant Week! Indulged in a full-course dinner for only thirty-five bucks! Talk about mmm, mmm, good!
Arugula Salad was on point, Shrimp Burger topped with aioli, pickled onions, and avocado had me speaking in tongues, and the massive portion of perfectly cooked fries were a carb lovers dream. Chose the Pumpkin Cheesecake for dessert...satisfied my sweet tooth perfectly!
Special mention: Service given by Marcus was friendly and attentive. Even the food runners were awesome...food was delivered to the table in a timely manner and the dirty dishes
