Lincoln Square Veterinary Hospital offers advanced, comprehensive, and compassionate veterinary care to the dogs and cats of New York's premier residential area. We don't just respond to symptoms and emergencies, we build relationships with clients and patients to prevent health issues and promote quality of life.
We love this Vet! Everyone is professional and friendly and we are completely confident with their care and ability. Everyone at LSVH is cheerful, efficient and helpful. This is the only vet office I know of, where my dog does not shake, but instead wags his tail upon entering! We have always been greeted with smiles and a terrific attitude.

Services
As a resident of Manhattan's Upper West Side, chances are you need and expect the following from your veterinary care provider:. Those are the guiding principles of Lincoln Square Veterinary Hospital, they are our routine mode of operation. We have veterinarians and we are USDA certified, to make your travel planning much easier.
Advanced pet care involves a focus on both the patient and the client. That means delivering treatment to dogs and cats in an accredited facility, as well as providing an immaculate facility that doesn't rush their owners in or out. Lincoln Square Veterinary Hospital boasts the finest pet care on the Upper West Side focusing on the following areas:.
If you see veterinary care as a treat-the-symptom kind of service, you're not seeing the full pet care picture. Lincoln Square Veterinary Hospital can help. From healthy treats to specially formulated dry food that strengthen your senior pet's joints, we provide what your pet needs. Our staff are also happy to discuss the benefits of particular products, so you go home informed.
Jane Kosovsky, DVM, is our surgeon, with two decades of surgical experience since completing her residency at Animal Medical Center (AMC) in New York. From making sure your pet can handle anesthesia to giving you instructions on what can and can't be eaten the day before, our team will establish a safe operating environment to optimize your dog's or cat's surgical experience.
Our services are only as good as they are appropriate. Diagnostic testing, run through our in-house laboratory, is how we determine an effective treatment for your pet. When your dog or cat is excessively scratching or sneezing or dripping from the eyes, it's likely he or she is experiencing an allergic reaction to the environment or to food.

Dr.McDermott is such a gem and we are so massively lucky to have her as our vet. She has gone above and beyond for us and our pug Moose for his whole life. She is an amazing doctor and her input is absolutely invaluable. Moose was recently diagnosed with cancer, and she has been nothing but supportive and a lifeline for us as we've needed a lot of guidance on how to get him through this. Dr.McDermott has steered us in the right direction the whole time and been an endless source of knowledge and comfort. We trust her completely because we know that she treats and loves Moose as family. So grateful

Doctor insisted on teeth cleaning for a dog with a heart condition. We thought he know what he is doing. I asked him and the cardiologist several times about risk and they both down played the risk. Also actual dental work was done by a junior doctor in whom I had no confidence due to an earlier interaction. Our precious dog died 5 hours dental cleaning. In the morning when we dropped him off at the Vet he was in good shape and happy; we had to pick up his almost dead body to transport to animal hospital at 4 pm. We ended up having to euthanize him by 5 pm. If the doctors would have looked at the

I don't trust any other place. Dr Mcdermott is like a veterinarian sent from god. She is amazing. So professional and caring. Extremely thorough and accurate. She always follows up and calls back. The staff has been great to deal with. All animal lovers here. I drive in to the city from queens and there are 3 local vets around me all in a 1 mile radius, not worth it. If you want a healthy animal this is a must go to. These guys care they do not have Manhattan high prices either. Thank you all for always taking care of Sylvester!!!

I cannot overstate my gratitude to the staff at Lincoln Square Veterinary Hospital. I can be an anxious cat dad, but I know that when I take my furry friends to Lincoln Square they get personal attention and the very best treatment. Dr. Fried and Dr. McDermott both have excellent bedside manner - they are calm, friendly, patient, honest, and generous with their time to fully explain procedures great and small.
