Dr. Rawcliffe is a native of Orem, Utah in the heart of the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Virginia Commonwealth University then furthered his education by completing a General Practice Residency in Hartford, Connecticut. He was thrilled when his journey led him to Central Texas, which he loves, and he has established himself as a trusted dentist in the community.

I had the pleasure of joining Dr. Rawcliffe's team in February of 2019 and feel fortunate to work for such a great group of people. I have been in the field of dentistry for the past 43 years with the last 23 years as a Registered Dental Hygienist. I obtained my Dental Hygiene degree in 1998 from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
Good oral health is so important. Not only does it mean that you can enjoy eating and speaking without difficulty or embarrassment - good oral health is also connected to good overall health. At Prairie Star Dental, our primary goal is for each of our patients to enjoy good oral health, and that means visiting our Round Rock, TX, office regularly for exams, cleanings and X-rays.
Some dental procedures are more intimidating than others, and root canals would certainly fall into that category. At Prairie Star Dental, we understand that the idea of needing a root canal can be unnerving for some people, which is why Dr. Rawcliffe wants our patients to know that they don't have to be afraid of root canals.
In addition to following a daily oral health care regimen at home, the most important step you can take to ensure good oral health is to visit Dr. Rawcliffe twice a year for professional cleanings and oral exams. While that may sound easy enough, it's anything but easy for people who have a high level of anxiety about visiting the dentist.
Whenever possible, Dr. Rawcliffe and most other dentists would agree that it's almost always preferable to save a patient's natural teeth. There are some situations, however, when tooth extractions are necessary. Fortunately, the art and science of pulling a tooth has come a long way over the past several years.

My first time visiting Prairie Star Dental I haven’t been to the dentist in a while due to past experiences from my former dentist. Prairie Star was a 5 star as soon as I walked in. Everyone was polite and professional. The dental assistance was informative and she thoroughly explained every detail about what was needed regarding my teeth and gums, she explained what the X-ray revealed in a way I understood. The dentist was also very knowledgeable about what needed to be done and on scheduling the procedure. I would highly recommended Prairie Star to anyone who needs dental care. Thanks Prairie

My husband came in today for an evaluation and needs quite a bit of work done. The office was very nice and clean. All the staff was very competent and friendly. Everyone made us feel at home. All the equipment is up to date and the doctor was very friendly and made my husband feel accepted. He seems very knowledgeable, patient and attentive. He made my husband's care a priority and wanted to make sure he gets treatment in a timely way. He really made my husband feel important. We both felt very confident having the whole team on our side!

I'm a chicken about Dentists so I havent been to one for 12 years. The Doctor was great but I was scared when he said I needed a Deep Cleaning. All was perfect and I highly recommend him and Laura.
I recently had a dental emergency and they made time to get me in that day. Guess I'm not afraid of Dentists anymore. Love them

Very good overall experience, and I hate going to the dentist. The Dr. was kind and engaging and very good at walking me through everything that he was doing and seeing. The staff was great too. The office is clean and cute. It was a great experience, looking forward to next cleaning. Also, super close to my neighborhood so I popped in at lunch time.
