Had lunch at Nick's today. Great service but the food is just ok. The Fish & Chips was over cooked, which made it dry. Fries was warm not hot. The clam chowder was good, but close to $10 for a cup. Very expensive for what we had. Great view but not worth the money for seafood. It's old school my family use to go there when I was a kid. Hopefully they can work on getting a better cook or something. Sorry...

I have been here twice with my wife on weekend getaways.
Both times it has been a pleasant experience with good food, good cocktails and very friendly service. I will come back and would recommend to others as well. I just wish they had outdoor dining since it's on the beach but I know it can be windy and cold

Unlike some other comments, the service was actually rather good.
Unfortunately, that was the ONLY good thing:
- the restaurant itself is completely depressing, dark, outdated, and despite being on the seashore, the biggest view is actually the parking's.
- the food is so bad you feel trolled. They basically make zero effort, both on presentation and on ingredients. The letuce used in the crab louie salad comes directly from a Foods Co, and their most popular thing, the crab sandwitch, is basically two basic toasts, with tomatoes, and the crab in the middle, and they charge over $35 for this

Came there for lunch on a Monday afternoon the weather outside was beautiful! 78° in Pacifica on a Monday afternoon spectacular! So I sat down at the horse shoe shaped bar had a couple long islands grab the menu decided on clam chowder and the crab sandwich. Oh my god what a great choice! I stayed so long I grab the dinner menu and had the prime rib and lobster! I don't think I've ever had lobster this great before... Oddly enough, the first time I had Nicks was a leftover half of crab sandwich. I was at a friends house absolutely starving, so they offered me their leftover half of sandwich. Typically I am not a fan of leftovers, especially someone else's leftovers, but this sandwich looked too good to pass up. SOOOOOO glad I tried it - even cold and a half-day old, it was DELICIOUS!
Went to Nicks the next week and had my own crab sandwich. Ive been back three times since, each time the sandwich is just as good.

We went to Nicks Seashore Restaurant yesterday, and as usual, it was fantastic! We had to wait an hour for our table, but we weren't complaining as we had a pretty beautiful view of the ocean as we waited. When we finally sat the hosts were very friendly, and our waitress Rachel was very attentive, despite how busy it was! I highly recommend the crab sandwich, it is one of the only reasons we drive out an hour and a half to Pacifica! They had great live music, and you can't beat those Oceanside views.

I am in the line wait for table . The hostess say hi to a couple came after me of course she also sat them first . Just skip me and did not say anything to me
And without my consent she put me in the bar area which the table is very low not comfortable eating meal there . This hostess just so wrong for the job

My partner and I had a lovely seaside lunch here yesterday, and we enjoyed our visit. The place feels a bit dated inside, but it's been around since the 1920s so that's expected. That's the vibe. Our waitress was friendly and our food was brought out promptly.
My partner ordered the crab sandwich, which seems to be their signature dish. Overall, he enjoyed it. The bread was buttery and toasted, there was lots of crab, and it came with fries. He would have preferred if the crab were in larger chunks--it was very macerated.

Nick's is one of a kind. Amongst the few remaining beachfront roadhouses that used to stretch up and done the shore. It's a mix of locals and Hwy 1 travelers. The crowd skews older, which seems appropriate for a nice dark cocktail and steak joint from 1927. There's live music and dancing on the weekend. The shore is so close that you feel like you're in the surf. Indeed, you may be. The waves have been known to splash the side of the building during heavy winter storms. Silly me. I have lived here all my life and have never visited Nick's. I've always known about it but in my mind it was just a seafood place. Shaking my head at myself. My husband wanted a crab sandwich and a co-worker said oh you have to go to Nick's. So I pulled up Yelp to take a look. Imagine my surprise when I saw they serve breakfast as well. Again, silly me. Very popular restaurant, with an ocean view. Specialty is crab sandwich and it was quite delicious, lots of crab meat. Personally, prefer some added celeries for texture and add'l flavor. The fish and chips were above average also, freshness definitely came thru. Both the sweet potato and regular fries though we're average, could use some improvements. The crab salad was huge, somehow the crab meats were very salty. Service was good. Prices were a bit on the high end.

Yeah not sure what happened from the last time we went but this visit is likely my last, aside from meeting others there if they insist.
But the food was insanely marked up this round. I understand covid has happened and everything is more expensive now, but still, it was beyond reason.
Case in point, I ordered a shrimp cocktail plate. What came out for $20, was 5 shrimp. I'm talking the kind that come on a plate of 100 for around $7 at Safeway. I know because I got one recently.
The other dishes we ordered were also pretty sad, and the bill that came just put a dagger in the experience

Nicks At Rockaway Beach in Pacifica, CA, has been there since 1927. They have an awesome view of the ocean with waves crashing against the rocks. My bestie & I stopped there for lunch. It was her recently late husband's favorite place to eat. They are famous for there crab sandwiches & I was not disappointed. They sandwiches are so big, we split it & opted for a small salad. It had a huge amount of Dungeness crab on grilled sour dough bread with a tomato slice, cheese & avocado, so delicious! I'm glad we split it & got a homemade peach cobbler to go. Great place,

I came here on a Saturday around lunch time with reservations at 1pm. I thought they had outdoor dining based on some pics in yelp but they didn't. We ended up eating in door and ordered a few things. Great Pomogrante margarita. We also tried sautéed calamari and I was not a fan. The garlic bread was yummy though. I ordered a shrimp po boy which was pretty good. Wished there was more sauce and the bread was a little too thick and dry. Overall amazing customer service and nice drinks! Great cute little area to walk around.

As a Southern California native, San Francisco has been my regular travel spot. I haven't had a favorite restaurant to visit until now.

Great Location and atmosphere. Retro for sure. Good place to bring visitors for a beach side dining experience in Pacifica. Service was good. Food was average. I got the crab cakes. Not much crab meat or seasoning. Sister got the halibut with shrimp sauce. The shrimp were not fresh but packaged precooked shrimp. Beautiful view of beach cove and surfers.

The pictures are not as good as in person! We were about to pass on going but we are glad we decided to check it out. The service was amazing. There was a wait to get seated so we waited at the bar and enjoyed the live music and dancing. Time flew by and we were seated with a wonderful and funny server. We were given delicious garlic bread. We ordered the fried calamari and it was perfect and not rubbery at all. We got the shrimp alfredo and the whole marinated crab. The alfredo was filling and the prawns were perfect. Must see this place and dine here! This gem of a spot has stunning ocean views right in front of the restaurant! It is breathtaking and just a few minutes from the San Francisco airport. We had lunch there and Mike was very friendly and gave us great service. The fish and chips were cooked to perfection and we enjoyed the food while watching the waves. Our server said that they see whales frequently from the restaurant!!! Although we did not see any whales, I highly recommend to this destination!!

One staple and a favorite go-to of mine is the crab sandwich. It's HUGE with tons of crab stuffed inside. Seafood can be expensive but this sandwich is worth it. They are definitely not stingy with the crab in the sandwich. I usually eat half and save the other half for latter.
I've also had their calamari, which is good. Friends have ordered various other dishes
