I have lived here for a year and a half. I love this place. I always feel like I'm in a resort. The staff is friendly and helpful. Tangerine keeps the grounds beautiful and goes above and beyond. She is awesome! I wish she was here more. I would give Bixby a 5 but the landscaping has needed and overhaul for a long time. The bushes are overgrown in some spots and completely dead in others. The lawn is constantly overwrought with weeds and brown spots from dogs. More attention needs be paid to the lackluster stain and drips on the wood siding and the dirty over head windows in the lobby. Once

This review is for Tangerine, the person responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of Bixby Hill. Tangerine starts cleaning very early in the morning and she keeps the grounds SPOTLESS. I normally see her cleaning the community BBQ grill, de-webbing underneath the staircases and sweeping all around -she really goes above and beyond to keep the place looking nice and she does it with a smile and a great attitude.
I am really glad we have Tangerine to keep everything nice and clean! Shapell Properties really scored by bringing her on board. Five stars.

We've lived at the Bixby Hill apartments since they reopened after they were renovated. It's a quiet community that's well maintained and clean. I'd especially like to put a shout out to Tangerine the happy woman who keeps the outside grounds clean. It's so unusual to see someone cleaning walkways, stairs and trash bins with such a positive caring attitude.

I was curious why this complex received only 2 1/2 starts and just noticed the reviews are from over two years ago. I've recently moved in here and so far my experience with Bixby Hill Apartment is superb, two thumbs up! This place has been renovated completely, everything is new and clean. The maintenance crews are super nice and work diligently every day. I especially thank Dasha for helping me. She is professional, attentive to my needs and solved the issues I raised right away. If you are an individual prefers a quiet, clean, and safe place to live in, I highly recommend Bixby Hill

I've loved living here. It's quiet, safe, and there's plenty of families around. There's a gate with a security guard working 24/7 in order for guests or visitors to enter, and Rancho Los Alamitos is at the top of the hill when you need a nature break from your busy life! Parking can sometimes be hard to find. They're planning to rebuild the whole complex next year; sadly we will all need to find somewhere else to live!
