Dr. Gerret Osendorf is a native Californian having grown up in Walnut Creek. He studied Biology at UC Davis for undergrad, and headed east to earn his doctorate at the prestigious Boston University School of Dental Medicine. He now spends his time taking advantage of everything that Sonoma COunty has to offer with his wife and two beautiful daughters!
We are a mercury-free practice. However, many people still have silver/mercury fillings in their mouths from years past. These fillings are not particularly pleasing to the eye, and we know that by unavoidable design, silver/mercury fillings ultimately result in a weaker tooth structure. Porcelain inlays and tooth-colored restorations (onlays) create fillings that are not only beautiful (or unnoticeable), but also add strength to weakened teeth.
Our goal is to provide dentistry that is undetectable. We replace existing dental crowns and fillings with restorations that look and feel like your natural teeth. Where damage to a person's teeth is extreme and apparently beyond repair, we can use porcelain or porcelain "pasted-on gold" dental crowns to make the smile appear "as new".

I had an old crown come loose.
They offered me a same day appointment. Though I chose a different day, they were able to get me in, evaluate the situation, take care of the underlying and surrounding teeth, make a new crown and bond it in place in a single 3-hour visit. He new crown matches my other teeth, feels smooth in my mouth, and looks fantastic, with a color match of my surrounding teeth that makes it look natural!
I was kept comfortable, and informed for all decision points. The staff was respectful of Dr Osendorf as well as each other in addition to patients. The equipment is state of

I love this place! It is very clean, comfortable and everyone is friendly. I enjoy going to my dental appointments. The staff is great, Dr osendorf is thorough and explains all procedures before he does the work (which I like). But the best is Becky the hygienist, she's awesome! I love her personality, our talks, and laughs. She a hoot. I so look forward to my cleaning appointments with her.

Rincon Family Dental is a wonderful Dental office. The staff are all very welcoming. The office environment is clean and relaxing. Jill, one of the hygienist is awesome! She is very gentle and makes sure to listen to all your concerns. She offers advice and different techniques to help with those hard to reach spots. I recently got my teeth whitened during one of my visits and loved the experience. No pain or sensitivity. My teeth are noticeably whiter! Dr. Osendorf is a great guy! Very thorough and caring. I would recommend this office to all family and friends.

Dr. Osendorf is the best dentist I have ever been to. He is dedicated, efficient, straight-forward, ethical and honest, keeps up on all new dental care and plays the best music. His office staff is welcoming and helpful. I've been going to the dentist for over 60 years and he is the first dentist I have ever had where I do not dread the visit.
