Dr. Jennifer Rutledge earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Arkansas at Monticello and graduated with honors. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. Following dental school, Dr. Rutledge worked in private practice in the Dallas area for three years.
Our practice values each child as an individual. We understand that children with special health care needs require a dental practice that is open and understanding. We are aware that they often experience a higher risk of oral diseases with potential effects to their overall quality of health throughout life.
You can make the first visit to the dentist enjoyable and positive. If old enough, your child should be informed of the visit and told that Dr. Rutledge is going to teach you how to take care of your teeth, " "she will count your teeth using a special tooth mirror" and "she may take pictures of your teeth to make sure they are healthy."
The office attempts to schedule appointments at your convenience and when time is available. Preschool children should be seen in the morning because they are fresher and we can work more slowly with them for their comfort. School children with a lot of work to be done should be seen in the morning for the same reason.

Best experience I could imagine for my kids' first dentist visit! I brought my 1.5 yr old and 3 yr old both for their first dentist visit. The receptionist was very friendly and thorough in reminding us about our visit and reaching out to make sure we had completed all necessary paperwork prior to arriving. I was a bit of a hot mess and she made it easy to have my ducks in a row! The lobby is pretty and welcoming! Dr. Rutledge welcomed us herself from the waiting room to start our appointment. The exam room had enough space for the dentist, myself, the assistant and both kids to be comfortable

Our son had his first dental office visit here, and we could not be more pleased. Not only with the results of his cleaning, but with the kindness and patience from Dr Rutledge and staff. Our son kept saying how much fun he had at his appt, which is the last thing one would expect a kid to say after a dentist appt. :) HIGHLY recommended!!!

Our children have been patients of Dr. Rutledge for the last 2 years and we could not be happier with Dr. Rutledge and her staff. They are always kind, helpful, polite, prompt, and really great with our children. Dr. Rutledge has a wonderful bedside manner and speaks in a very gentle way to the kids and answers all of questions. I highly recommend her!!!! (I write this as my two year old and my 4 year old fight, so I apologize for grammar errors.)

Both my children had a very smooth first experience to the dentist! My daughter suffers from severe anxiety that often makes separation from me difficult. They made her feel so comfortable that she didn’t even need me to go back with her. She was so comfortable going back and getting her cavities filled and often asks when she is going back! Dr. Rutledge sincerely cares for her patients. She has a heart for children and helping them understand the importance of good dental hygiene. Our experience there has been consistently excellent. She even went above and beyond to accommodate a special need for us on one instance. Her office is welcoming and the staff are friendly. Wonderful dentist.....was both professional and informative as well as kind and compassionate. I called not once but TWICE the day after Christmas because of my child’s symptoms and Dr Rutledge was kind and empathetic both times, took the time to talk to me about the issue and helped us out. Highly recommend her if you’re looking for someone to take care of your child’s teeth/dental issues.

We absolutely love Rutledge Dentistry and the entire staff. They go above and beyond every time we visit. My son used to be scared of the dentist due to having a bad experience when he was first going. Once we found Dr. Rutledge those fears went away and he now loves it. Dr. Rutledge also found an extra tooth in the roof of our sons mouth off of a simple x-ray and we’re so thankful she did because it was impacting his adult teeth already. The dr she referred us to was just as amazing as she is. We’re so thankful we were referred to Rutledge Dentistry by our pediatrician!

Love Dr. Rutledge and her staff! Dr. Rutledge is very caring, attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and, professional. No long wait in the waiting room. When you set an appointment, you are actually seen at the appointed time. What really makes Dr. Rutledge exceptional is that she personally called to check on my daughter a few hours after my daughter's procedure. Wow!! Highly recommend!!!!

We’ve tried a few different pediatric/family dentists in the area and absolutely LOVE Dr Rutledge and her staff. Our daughter had a traumatizing experience with another dentist when she needed some extensive dental work done and was very nervous about going back to the dentist. Dr Rutledge has been amazing and has provided the best care we could imagine. The office is clean and inviting, and every time we go we are so impressed! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

We were very impressed with Dr. Rutledge. She was very kind and patient. We had been putting off going to the dentist with my 2.5 year old because i didn’t think he would cooperate and do well. We just scheduled a consult visit and he did great. We were also worried since my son still has a paci, but she was so kind and understanding. Would definitely recommend her!! She took the time and answered all of our questions even when it was late and they probably wanted to go home.

Dr. Rutledge has been treating my children for two years now and we LOVE her and her staff!! Dr. Rutledge provides me with detailed information about my children's oral health and recommendations on how to maintain! Everyone is so friendly and my kids are so comfortable with everyone. They don't fear or dread going to the dentist. They look forward to getting a coin for the prize machine at the end of their visit. The office is so clean and organized.

This is the best pediatric dentist I have found. Dr. Rutledge is so friendly and fun. She loves what she does and explains everything step bu step. The office staff are so nice and friendly and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The dental hygienist is also very nice. She also explains everything so well. While there it is like visiting with a best friend! So glad I found them!

Dr. Rutledge and staff are phenomenal. Experience from start to finish was just exceptional. My young children had their first ever dental appointments there today and I could not have asked for a better atmosphere and overall experience. The office has a coffee bar and water for those waiting, and books and a toy area for the kids. The receptionist was extremely helpful and gave us a warm welcome into the office, the dental assistant was so kind and patient with my son who was a little shy, and Dr. Rutledge was just fantastic with both of them during the examinations. You will not regret bringing
