The Law Offices Of A. Randolph Hough, P.A
Experienced counsel for clients facing DUI, felony, misdemeanor, and federal charges in South Carolina. Ask anyone you know what leads to the most stress in life; invariably, the person will talk about money, family issues, maybe some problems at work. But of all the life-changing events you can face, only one puts all of those other stressors in play, while adding another layer of worry - and that is facing a criminal conviction.

At The Law Offices of A. Randolph Hough, P.A., we know exactly what kinds of pressure you're under when you've been accused of, or charged with, a crime. We also know that an arrest is not a conviction, and our primary goal is to ensure that it doesn't become one.
Services
Former prosecutor A. Randolph "Randy" Hough has a strong background in criminal law. Before entering private practice, he served as a prosecutor for the Fifth Judicial Circuit of South Carolina, handling numerous crimes ranging from drug trafficking to white-collar crimes to murder. He also handled complex federal drug charges as a Special Assistant United States Attorney.
We understand how intimidating it can be to face the criminal justice system. Even what seems like a minor crime carries serious penalties that can range from loss of your driver's license to jail time, losing professional license and loss of your constitutional rights. If you've been arrested or charged with a crime, every decision you make afterward can have a drastic effect on your life and your freedom.
After a criminal conviction, an individual may face time in prison and other penalties. Unfortunately, even after someone has served his or her time, completed probation and other terms of the sentence, the criminal justice system isn't quite finished with him or her. A conviction can stay on your criminal record indefinitely, affecting nearly every aspect of your life.
Arson allegations and charges are extremely serious. Unfortunately, buildings and homes do catch fire, for a variety of reasons. Perhaps a wire shorted out, or someone accidentally left a candle burning. Often, it's difficult for authorities and investigators to determine the exact cause of a fire, resulting in arson charges, accusations of insurance fraud, and over-aggressive prosecution.
Professional criminal defense when you're facing assault charges in Columbia and Charleston. The state of South Carolina takes assault crimes very seriously. An assault conviction can carry penalties that will follow you long after you've paid your debt to society, in the form of a criminal record that will strip you of many of your constitutional rights.

Randy and Kayla were super responsive and effective in handling our son's traffic violation. They got us and him a great result without him having to deal with a permanent blemish on his driving record. I can't recommend them highly enough.

He wasn’t my lawyer, but he was my boyfriend’s. At the time Brie Russell was my lawyer, and they were the dream team for both of us. It’s been 6 years. We wouldn’t have been able to get through what happened to us without them. Worth every double I worked. Highly recommend. 20/10
