Beware ordering from Ichiban 18 in East Brunswick.
I just had an unreal experience with an extremely nasty business owner!
We order from Ichiban 18 in East Brunswick fairly often - both sushi and hibachi. Tonight, we brought in both, but the sushi (lobster and salmon rolls), for some reason, smelled funny and tasted awful. I called the restaurant to let them know about it and that I was going to bring it back and all I heard on the on end of the line was denial, and how it was fine and nothing was wrong with it. I said that we've ordered the same thing many times before but that something was

This place is overall really good, and I go here pretty often. The habachi is fantastic, especially the steak habachi with garlic butter that's a personal favorite of mine. The only part I don't like is their sushi, although good, doesn't taste quite right. There's something off about it, it almost tastes like it's been sitting out for longer than it should have, same with the Miso Soup. Otherwise, this place is really great for a nice habachi dinner.

The food was good but apparently they tip themselves 18% on a bill for 5 people without letting you know. My bill was almost $300. Unfortunately for them, had they not done that, they would have received a bigger tip. This rubbed me completely the wrong way. Double check your bill after they run your card people.....
