Dr. Kelso graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in 2002, and completed a General Practice Residency at UT Hospital in Knoxville in 2003. Prior to attending the University of Tennessee, he attended Birmingham-Southern College and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology.
Since he began practicing dentistry, Dr. Kelso has kept up to date on many continuing education classes, ensuring that his patients receive the most up-to-date and advanced dental care.He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Tennessee Dental Association, the International Team for Implantology (ITI), and the Tennessee 5E Study Club.

Dr Kelso is without a doubt the best dentist in town. He is extremely personable. He goes out of his way to make sure you are good to go. Back in November 2020 I was scheduled for a root canal with an endodontist. They didn't have anything available till January 2021. Right after Christmas I had a day where the pain made me pass out. I called the endodontist and they had no emergency policy. So they basically told me to deal with it. I called Dr Kelso's emergency line and he called me right back. He said he would start the root canal that day so that it would not get worse. Turns out it was infected

The staff are all welcoming and friendly, Dr. Kelso is very nice and knowledgeable, the hygienists are very knowledgeable as well. The problem is partly with this office and partly with blue cross blue shield. This office is only in network with one insurance and is out of network with all others. My insurance told me that exams and cleanings are covered even out of network, but that is obviously not true and that might be because this office charges absolutely insane prices. they have very up to date equipment and I'm assuming that is the cause. I'm upset at the absurd price for the service, but

I had a wonderful experience! The facility is very welcoming and comfortable. The exam by Dr. Kelso was extremely through and informative. I loved the fact that he seemed genuinely interested in “meeting” me. His hygienist did a great job with my cleaning and even the check out process was a breeze. This office his a hidden gem! I had my whole family come in within a week of my appointment!!
