Capacity Counseling
Therapy and parent coaching can address the issues that are troubling many young people. From anxiety and depression, grief and divorce, to adjusting to life transitions - like preparing for and surviving the college years - let's work together to create a brighter future. My clients struggle like you do.

Despite being good students, having friends and participating in lots of activities, life is hard. When they first come in, they are worried about how to get everything done. There is so much pressure from school, friend and family drama, and job or extra-curricular activities that sometimes they wonder if they should even get out of bed in the morning.
Services
I understand the stressors that kids today face and I am dedicated to helping make life better. In my personal and professional life, I have worked with families burdened with overwhelming obstacles. I have helped hundreds of young people who have experienced incredible challenges - anxiety, depression, trauma and doubt in their self worth.
Adolescence can be a period of disorientation and discovery, when important issues of independence and identity come to light. It is a time of many transitions, including physical changes, evolving relationships with parents and peers, and concerns about the future. Teens may face a range of difficult problems including anxiety, depression, stress and family conflicts.
So, you graduate high school and get to college and everyone tells you, "These are the best years of your life!" But in reality, you are completely overwhelmed. Choosing a major, classes, getting all the work done and keeping up some semblance of a social life is draining every ounce of energy from you.
This is why ongoing parent involvement is an extremely important part of the therapy process. Parent consultations are your opportunity to share your observations, voice areas of concern and ask specific questions. It is also an opportunity for me to better understand how your child is coping emotionally, socially and academically.
