According to a "Time Magazine Survey", 59% of Americans would rather sit in a Dentist's chair than sit next to someone on a cell phone. Did you know that tooth decay is the number one preventable childhood disease? Prevention begins with good dental habits, the right diet and regular visits to the dentist at a very early age.
Jaw muscles can contract with a force as great as 55 pounds of pressure on anterior incisors. We want your family's experience with Seattle Kids Dentistry to be a wonderful one, starting with your child's first visit. We simply ask that you follow these four easy steps prior to coming in for your first visit.
Patients often ask us the same questions. We have a thing for sharing knowledge and education (if you hadn't noticed), so we've provided some of the most common inquiries-and our answers-below. When administered correctly, local anesthesia is safe for children. Our team is highly trained in anesthesia delivery, and we always communicate to children in an age appropriate manner, prior to administering the anesthetic.

We’ve taken our son here for a couple of years now, and every time we go it’s fantastic. They approach children in a calm, kind manner and are patient.
Big shoutout to Mary Anne who was an absolute gem with our son recently. She’s so wonderful to talk with and meets the children where they are at with their curiosity and questions.

Dr Merchant took the time to explain (and show!) everything what was going on with my daughter's teeth. She also put my anxious girl at ease, and explained everything to her, step by step. We were immediately helped, and the assistant Mary Ann was so sweet and funny. The only regret I have is not coming to this dentistry sooner.

The staff is always friendly and helpful. My kids love the comfy set up they have, enjoy picking what they get to watch on the ceiling TV, and absolutely can’t wait to pick out their toy at the end of their visit. We also get a nice bag of dental goodies at the end. If the staff notice any problem areas, they kindly make suggestions of how to fix it and have a great vocabulary of how to explain it children.

We can not recommend SKD enough. We first found them through a field trip for first grade and decided to try them. Our kids love going here (well our youngest likes it to a point and then doesn’t want his teeth cleaned 😂). The staff is soo friendly always going above and beyond to make our kids feel comfortable. It’s always a very clean office. The kids love the TVs in the ceiling and the prizes. I’m kind of jealous I can’t go here myself! 10 out of 10 would recommended

My little one loves this place too much and keeps on asking when her next dental appointment is. She has perfect teeth, but keeps on making list of what she wants to check in with her favorite 'teacher' Michelle, such as what she should do with her wiggly tooth, exactly when she can expect tooth ferry and so on. Michelle engages her in the process by giving her customized background info, little assignments and making sure she has no further questions/doubts. I think my kid gets thrilled because she feels like an active contributor to the serious job.

SO GREAT!!! My daughter has been going there since she was 1 yr old. She's now 4 and, for the first time, is having dentist-phobia. Her dental hygienist, Michele, was SO amazing! She was so patient and calm as my daughter tightly clasped her hands over her mouth refusing to open and protesting no matter what we tried. Well, she was clearly no match for Michele, who has probably seen it all before and calmly continued trying different strategies and tactics until finally success! When the visit started I thought, "Well, this isn't going to happen. We'll just have to try again

This place is great for kids, especially kids that are scared to go to the dentist. They have movies on a screen on the ceiling they can watch, friendly staff, rewards at the vending machine at the end that kids like. They've also been able to fit us in quick when there's been an emergency, they are accommodating with scheduling, and they always have ample parking.

I just want to give a huge thank you to your team for all of the time they spent with my four year old at his cleaning. He was very uncooperative but the tech and dentist both were so patient and gentle with him. They talked to us in very practice terms for his age. Since his appointment he has been a willing participant in brushing his teeth and even will brush on his own between a.m. and p.m. brushes.

The care team at Seattle Kids Dentistry has been life-changing for our family! Dr Merchant helped us tremendously with getting to the root issue of our child's teeth grinding problems, and we moved care from our regular family dentist to here for both our children. She took a very methodical approach and helped show us the data to make decisions for our child's care each step of the way. She's careful and direct, considering both short and long term care. Her office makes for a wonderful child experience - bright, very clean and orderly, child-sized chairs, and best of all with a prize area for

Seattle Kids Dentistry is the best. The staff are all friendly, kind and patient. My boys have both knocked their front teeth out at 2 and 3 years old. As a mom, the experience was traumatic, but both Dr. Merchant and Dr. Sabeti made us feel comfortable and confident that they were getting the best care. They were so great that 8 years later, my kids still love going to the dentist- strange, I know, but it speaks to the quality of care provided at this facility. We wouldn't go anywhere else...

We saw Dr. Sabeti & had Mary Anne as the dental hygienist. They were both wonderful! Our son is 20 months old and so squirmy. They were super patient and really could tell they enjoyed working with children. The place is SOOO kid friendly. From the banana scented yellow gloves to the bright turquoise chairs, this place will surely make going to the dentist a little more fun! It's modern, clean, & had a bright kids theme. I was always afraid of the dentist when I was younger. If I had gone here, do not think I'd have the same fears!
Pros:
1) Friendly Staff
2) Clean
3) Short Wait

My daughter's first dentist visit and she loved it! So did I. The offices are inviting, clean, cheerful, and bright.. also a reflection of all the staff we encountered and their delightful service.
Thanks for making it a great visit and setting up my daughter for a healthy view of what great service is!
