Law Offices Of Evan Braunstein
My name is Jasen Nielsen. I am a former Ventura County Deputy District Attorney. I grew up in Thousand Oaks, graduated from Westlake High School, and my family still lives in the area. My professional practice is dedicated to representing clients who have been arrested for a DUI in Ventura County.

I have professional relationships with local prosecutors, judges, and court staff, and have an excellent history of getting DUI charges reduced or dismissed. After you have been arrested for drunk driving, you will be bombarded with advertisements from any number of attorneys, all seeking your business.

I am a Ventura DUI Attorney, focused on helping those who have been arrested in and around Ventura County. I grew up in Thousand Oaks and graduated from Westlake High School in 1992.

Prior to becoming one of the area's top DUI attorneys, I worked as a Ventura DUI prosecutor, where I was trained by the notoriously harsh Ventura County District Attorney's Office, and certified in Standardized Field Sobriety Tests by the Ventura County Sheriff's Department.
When I got arrested for a DUI with a high rate of speed in Ventura county I thought I was screwed. The potential penalty that I was facing was 60 days in Ventura County Jail on top of all the other fines and fees (even though it was my first DUI). I had the misfortune of receiving a DUI in Ventura County in 2008.
Here are just a sample of the dismissals and positive outcomes Ventura DUI attorney Jasen Nielsen has recently obtained for his clients. Pulled over for making illegal U-turn directly in front of "No U-Turn" signs and police officers, nearly collided with curb. Client had 4 out of time priors, including felony.
If you have been arrested for a DUI, your driver's license has probably been taken from you and replaced with a pink temporary license. The fine print on that temporary license explains that you have only 10 days to request a hearing with the DMV, and that if you fail to do so, your license will be automatically suspended after 30 days.
In most Ventura DUI cases, the first court date is about a month after the date of arrest. It is almost always scheduled on your paperwork at 8:15 am in Department 118 of the Ventura Superior Court. However, your case will actually be on calendar at 9:00 am in Department 10. You, or your attorney, must attend this court date, or a warrant for your arrest will most likely be issued.
