The fact that they are now closed (not sure the reason) does not surprise me. Food was mediocre, service poor, no one really knew what they were doing. The owner was rude and condescending when we tried to complain simply to give feedback that would help improve service as we are in the hospitality industry. I would say Karma is a bear to the owner. He got exactly what he deserved, a closed restaurant. If it reopens, I would not expect much as it wasn't much to start with. Low end Italian at best.

Went here for dinner last night while on vacation . Will definitely go back. Beautiful atmosphere, super clean and service was wonderful. We had an amazing appetizer (calamari) them I ordered a custom 10" pizza. By no means a basic cheap pizza. This had fresh veggies, grilled chicken with Mozzarella cheese and fresh ricotta. My partner had fresh blackened grouper with pasta . Meal was delicious. Loved this place in every way.

It's the most average Italian food I've had, and it's definitely not worth the money. The Bruschetta was average, but the bread was burnt. The garlic knots were ok, but not the best. Salad was mediocre, although the Key lime dressing was quite disappointing. I ordered the linguine. I can go home and make spaghetti with Ragu sauce for
much cheaper, more flavor, and better pasta.
We also got pizza that was comparable to Domino's. My mother got Lasagna that was breaded, in my personal lasagna should not be breaded. We got Key lime pie and Tiramisu. They were both store bought

I frankly don't really like Italian food (I can't help it!) but I love going to Zappi's, and I'm so glad to see they're hanging in there; when I'm in Daytona my mom and I love going to eat there in the beautiful courtyard. Lobster bisque and bruschetta are excellent and the staff are always very friendly.

DINE HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK. The bus and wait staff at Zappi's are NOT following Daytona Beach local directives nor CDC guidelines regarding wearing protective face coverings. During a 2+-hour dining experience, our waitress wore her face mask for perhaps 2 visits to our table out of a total of about 10-12 visits to the table. The rest of the time her face mask was draped uselessly around her neck, despite the fact that she was in extremely close contact with those at our table when taking orders or serving. A bus boy and another waitress were witnessed wearing a mask only over their mouths

Dangerous place to eat during this Covid 19 epidemic. Staff including servers and cook do not wear masks. Some have a mask covering their chin; for what? Meanwhile they're breathing on all the customers. When we asked our server to please wear a mask, she said she has a number of conditions that prevent her from doing so. Okay, now everyone she and the staff is involved in serving, is susceptible to spreading Covid 19. To top it off, the food was tasty but almost cold. This was a traumatizing experience since we didn't feel comfortable asking others to help keep everyone safe and we do

This place was absolutely AMAZING! This is by far the best place we've eaten in this area. The Lasagna is absolutely TO DIE FOR along with the Zuccardi Malbec. The atmosphere was perfect for our date. The bartender Casey along with the rest of the staff was super friendly and went above and beyond to show amazing customer service. Anytime we're back in Daytona this will definitely be #1 on our list. Thank you for such an amazing experience because it's the best we've had on any vacation in this area.

Average Italian food. Good for the price. We had traditional bowl with rigatonni. Don't pay for bread because they bring you bread. They show as dog friendly however plz note we were told they only have 2 outdoor tables (although about 20 on patio) reserved for dogs. A pic of our baby Goose at dinner.

Wow - we had such a memorable time here. My office staff chose Zappi's for our company party, and it was an amazing choice. Because we had a large party, we pre set a buffet with the Zappi's staff that included baked ziti, lasagna, chicken marsala, beef burgundy tips, and salmon with roasted red pepper sauce. Oh my goodness, all the food was delicious. The drinks the bar made were on point - I loved their version of an old fashioned, a little sweet but not too sweet.

Loved dining in the charming courtyard. Absolutely beautiful! All staff was friendly and although, we didn't have a dog with us, others did. When the manager came out with treats and water for the fur babies, I knew this was an exceptional place. Our waiter was very helpful with recommendations and we were not disappointed! My seafood Portofino was excellent! Never had scallops so delicious and my husband had the lasagna which disappeared!

This is a Very good Italian restaurant. Good service with possibility of asking for water. I drink water very fast, it's Florida so it is warm and I get thirsty. The waitress did pretty good on keeping up. I had to ask a couple of times for water.
One of the specials was blackened prime rib. My friend got that and let me try it. Very good and not much fat on the prime rib.
I had the seafood portifino with mussels, scallops and shrimp on a bed of pasta. Great meal and just the right portion to fill me up but not over stuff me.

I don't even know where to start this review; we were so enthralled with the place, we couldn't stop talking about it. SHORT VERSION: Eat here ... today. Great food. Exemplary service. Amazing ambiance. And, the prices are very, very reasonable. Did I mention the outdoor seating area is very charming?
LONG VERSION: We were just looking for a cheap pizza joint to pick up a pizza to take back to our hotel. We were driving slow and glanced into Zappi's, and it looked SO charming, we decided to eat there (yes, we base our restaurant choices on looks!).
