Ernest's Orleans Restaurant is a family owned and operated business. The late Chef Ernest Sr. had deep roots in the city of New Orleans which was brought to Shreveport in the late forties. Marjorie Palmisano was learned at the famous Elmwood Plantation Restaurant. These influences in addition to Chef Ernest Palmisano Jr.'s drive for excellence are apparent in all dining experiences.
Ernest's Orleans Restaurant, in keeping with tradition, has been serving its own unique style and flavors of "The Finest" US Prime Beef, Seafood and Italian cuisine for over 69 years. The evening menu has many superb dishes to chose from. It's always a pleasure, for our formally trained wait staff, to vocalize the exquisite "Chef Features" that are available throughout the week.
Special bib lettuce with lump crabmeat topped with house dressing and seasonings Small/Large. Sliced red ripe tomato and topped with lump crabmeat. Shrimp, Crabmeat, Lettuce and Tomatoes with French Dressing. Half avocado stuffed with shrimp or crabmeat. A whole avocado stuffed with shrimp and lump crabmeat.
Tender Hand Cut filet grilled to perfection for you. Juicy Hand Cut and grilled to your specification. A Hand Cut Ribeye cooked to perfection for you. A Juicy 10oz petite Ribeye served with tossed green salad and potato of the day. Filet tenders cooked to your specifications served with mixed vegetables, rice and greek cheese.
With four large dining rooms, Ernest's is available for all private party functions. If on-site catering is your fancy, Ernest's Orleans will be there. Customizable menus are encouraged. There is always the perfect menu to fit your budget. Tina Marie's House of Flowers, conveniently located next door, has a gorgeous array of flowers and designs to complete any occasion.

After ALL the hype and over the moon excited to have a romantic dinner.....this would NOT be the case.
Service was slow, 2 other tables were served, salads, drinks and entrees before we were served. Did I mention we were there before them? Plus we were NOT given a menu to order, we had to ask for a menu.
Food was not up to par with all the hype we had experienced wanting and talking about going.
The steak I was served was NOT what my husband ordered for me. It was smothered in some sort of heavy sauce, drowning it!
Staff appeared to not know very much what she was doing or what her position

I was patiently waiting to try this restaurant. I was so disappointed. Our server, Amanda was the best. Nothing against her. First of all, THEY DO NOT HAVE SWEET TEA!!! How is that even an option in Louisiana!!???? I ordered the ribeye steak with a baked potato. They server's that were helping Amanda mixed up all the steak orders. They took all of our order over again which wasn't an issue. You don't get ANYTHING ON THE POTATO. I mean absolutely nothing. No butter cheese, chives, parsley. NOTHING. PLAIN.
My husband ordered the stuffed crabs. Let's just say they were not stuffed. They were flat

This was our 1st time going here this evening, and it was...FANTASTIC!!! Our waitress was very friendly and very kind to us, made sure we were taken care of. We just had the appetizers mostly, all very tasty. I had Turtle Soup. My husband had the Special Special Salad. We also had the marinated crab claws, fried mushrooms, and shrimp. ALL GOOD. And our waitress and the wait staff all sang Happy Birthday to me, so awesome!!! 9.8.21

Was recommended by several local people so we decided to try it. Fantastic service! Ernest himself actually took our drink orders and made recommendations from the menu. Had planned to order a steak, but followed his recommendation for the Snapper Pontchartrain. IT WAS DELICIOUS! Atmosphere of the lounge was perfect and included live music. Would definitely recommend.

Wow above and beyond from pulling up to the door. The valet was there ready to take my truck, surprised because I have a huge F350 double cab dually and I have had other valets at other places even like at a casino tell me they would not park my truck but this guy wasn't even concerned he helped us out and opened the front door for us and took of in the truck to park it. Once in side the matron asked if we wanted the restaurant side or the bar side we picked the bar side and it was not a mistake I'm sure the other side is just as nice but we were happy and our waiter was so
