Dr. Tony Truvan is a proud Virginia native. He graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a dual degree in Biology and Chemistry. Dr. Tony Truvan attended Medical College of Virginia and completed his DDS degree. Dr. Tony Truvan has been practicing dentistry in Northern Virginia for over 14 years and has opened his private practice in the historic town of Alexandria.

We do this by discussing your treatment fees and each of your available options. For your convenience, our office accepts Cash and Credit Cards. As a courtesy to our patients, we will assist you in filling your insurance paperwork.
We offer complete general dentistry services for our patients and their families. Routine oral healthcare is important for our patients. Maintaining routine and optimal oral health helps prevent long term oral diseases. Annual checkups and cleanings help Dr. Truvan and his team monitor or proactively identify any issues that may arise.
At Dentistry of Alexandria, the ZOOM! whitening treatment only takes 45 minutes* to show immediate fast results. A hydrogen peroxide based whitening gel is applied to the teeth and activated by the ZOOM Whitening system. The ZOOM Whitening system will lighten discolored, yellowed enamel caused by tobacco, food, and beverages.
Patients with gingivitis, have bacteria in their mouth that cause inflammation of the gums. This mild form of gum disease causes gums to become red, swollen or to bleed easily. Diligent home care like daily brushing and flossing can reverse gingivitis. If gingivitis is not treated properly, it can lead to periodontitis.

The best dentist ever he will really take the time to give you the best treatment possible and let you know about all your options. He will go out of his way to make sure that you’re comfortable in his office. You don’t have to wait a really long time for an appointment especially in case of an emergency. He really makes his patients a priority. I would recommend Dr. Truvan if you’re looking for a dentist that’s gonna make you feel really comfortable going to the dentist.

From Dr.Truvan to his dental hygienist to the front desk staff, they are all very warm, kind and welcoming. They helped me find a cavity that was hidden by my wisdom tooth, and walked through every step with me until the issue was solved. From my years hopping dentists, Dr.Truvan and his team are the only one’s that actually make me look forward for my check ups. Highly recommend them to anyone and everyone that’s looking for a Dentist and/or quality dental care.

Dr. Truvan goes above and beyond to ensure all possible issues are considered and addressed. Makes all the difference when you visit a "good" dentist v. "Great Dentist". Been there, done that, I truly appreciate his high caliber expertise and genuine and thorough patient care approach. I have been going to Dr. Truvan for the past year and a half and I have nothing but great things to say. Dr. Truvan and his staff are very nice and welcoming and they never make you feel rushed (as I have experienced at other dental offices). I am incredibly impressed with the quality of dental work provided by Tony Truvan. He spent time explaining my dental procedure step by step, giving me understanding and the confidence that proposed dental treatment plan is the best one for me. Tony also offered alternative treatment solutions and explained the benefits and drawbacks of every proposed procedure. Dr. Truvan and his team are excellent at making patients feel comfortable. He adjusted my bite and after 7 months of only having use of one side, I'm now pain free. Front desk receptionist Carla is so friendly and so was the hygienist! I highly recommend this Dentist and his wonderful team. I'm a recent transplant from another state and so lucky I picked him.

Carla is nice and friendly! The hygienist (unfortunately I didn’t quite catch her name but she wore the Hello Kitty scrub cap) is super amazing. That was the best cleaning I have ever had. She was super gentle, made sure I was comfortable and explained things to me along the way.
Dr Truvan is a reflection of his staff because he and his whole team are worth the 5 stars.

I highly recommend Dr. Truvan and his practice! His work on my teeth has been fantastic, and while he’s a great dentist, he’s also a great person. I had a crown fall off a tooth the night before a trip out of the country and called him at 11pm while he was on vacation, and he walked me through getting things right until I could get back in the office.

Such friendly and professional staff. I got there a little early and apparently they take a lunch break and come back at 1:30 but they still let me in. Gina is very welcoming and friendly from the moment you set up your appointment with her to when you leave. The doctor is very professional as well. He does everything from soup to nuts so you get… very personal attention rather than having a hygienist do a lot of the work and seeing your dentist for only five minutes. The office is incredibly clean and welcoming. They have overhead tablets for their patients and they didn’t even need

I've been a patient of Dr. Truvan for over 10 years. He is wonderful dentist who really cares about his patients' comfort and their understanding of what he does. Over the years, he has performed a lot of different dental work that I needed, and I can tell you, he is very skilled at what he does. I have a lot of old fillings and work that he's "… keeping an eye on" but he has never pushed me to do unnecessary work, only what's needed. His advice on home care has made a huge difference for me and now I'm not afraid to go to he dentist to see what he finds :-) I'm thrilled that Dr. Truvan
