I am a Southern California native, a travel-lover, concert-goer, and magical realist with a milk tea obsession! As a biracial clinician, I have a natural passion for the complexities of claiming (and/or reclaiming) identity and navigating multicultural experiences. I work with individuals on being more self-affirming to free themselves from arbitrary boxes.
I want people to know that a journey of self-discovery, beginning with insecurity, can end with acceptance of self. I specialize in intrapersonal/interpersonal effectiveness because I have had to overcome the challenge of verbalizing my thoughts in an effective way. I believe that fear, misdirected emotions, and ineffective communication fuel conflict within self and others.

Services
Choosing to start therapy for the first time, or the 500th time, can be the first step to uncovering an amazing journey of self-discovery and purposeful change! Therapy is one the greatest gifts that you can give yourself because it is all about the betterment of you. Investing in yourself is not selfish; it is necessary.
Yes! Telehealth sessions (either via phone or video-conferencing) are offered. Telehealth services can be used to supplement face-to-face sessions or be utilized as a stand-alone service. Once an appointment has been scheduled, join the virtual waiting room here at your appointment time. If you are interested in using your insurance benefits, please confirm your eligibility to receive services by contacting your insurance provider.
Therapy may be covered, in part, by your health insurance for out-of-network providers. What that means is that you would pay for therapy at the time of your session and seek potential reimbursement from your insurance provider. If you have a covered diagnosis, we can provide you with a superbill (upon request) for submission to your insurance provider.
Clients can cancel or reschedule an appointment anytime, as long as they provide 24 hours notice. Cancellations, rescheduled sessions, and no-shows may be subject to a full charge if not received at least 24 hours in advance. We want you to get the most out of your session but if you are running late, you are still entitled to the remainder of your reserved time.
Identifying, or not identifying, oneself is an organic process that cannot be rushed. Attempting to identify one's race/culture/gender/sexuality/spirituality can be frustrating, overwhelming, anxiety-provoking, you name it. There may be periods of avoidance, fear-based anger, self-deprecation, and guilt.
