After practicing for more than 30 years, I love the fact that I still love going to work in the morning. I truly feel spoiled as a dentist that I have such loyal team members and that we have our own dental lab on site. I am so proud to have staff members that have been with us for ten, 15, even 25 years.

Dr. Stephen Buchwalder has practiced at Van Buren Dental for more than 20 years. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees in biology at the University of Dayton and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the The Ohio State University. Dr. Buchwalder enjoys performing all aspects of general dentistry, including fillings, crowns, dentures, and implant restorations.
As a patient of Dr. Jamie Shepler, you'll know you are in good hands. He has deep appreciation for everyone who enters the practice. Seeing his patients every day is the fulfillment of his life's dream. His consistent confidence and focused personality allow people to feel at ease, while his passion for dentistry, eye for detail, and commitment to a higher standard are notable.
Dr. Natalie Hoza is a native of Atlanta. She attended the University of Georgia, where she received her Bachelor of Science in chemistry. Dr. Hoza earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the Dental College of Georgia. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, and Dayton Dental Society, and is passionate about keeping her skills on the cutting edge of her field.

I have been coming to this office for a while now ans usually see De Shepler but just had my first visit with Dr Morgan Fannon. She is so gentle and nice! She has a very pleasant personality and of course my regular girls Pam and Charlotte were fantastic. Broke a tooth and got right in even though it is close to the end of the year. I highly recommend Van Buren Dental to everyone.

I just want to give a shout out to Van Buren Dental staff. I am so glad I chose Van Buren as my new detal home. Dr. Hoza & her assistants are so sweet & caring. They take the time to explain everything & make sure you are comfortable. Maria is the best hygienist I have ever had clean my teeth. She is so knowledgeable & really does a great job. I am a tough one to have to clean. Well done Van Buren & staff!

Amazing experience at Van Buren Dental. I just moved back to the area from out of state & it has been a couple of years since I have visited the dentist...I know...yikes! Jen & Phoebe were super sweet and accommodating! Dr. Alex Dahm walked me through my x-rays and concerns in a way that I understood and I feel confident now to have a plan for my options and next steps. Office and Staff were kind and efficient! Highly recommend!!

I have been here twice, and both times were great experiences! This dentist was able to get me in at the beginning of the day for my first visit within a few days. (I had called another dentist closer to home who had an 8-month wait for an early appointment!) I was quickly greeted with a smile at the reception desk. Neither of my wait times in the waiting room was very long. My hygienist, Cyndy Ross, is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and friendly. She has given me some great advice! I don't like this office because every time I came into it the receptionists look very cold and not happy. And the doctor's assistant give me a bitter face too. That makes me feel I'm really not welcomed. I don't understand why so many people comment that they are all really nice in Yelp. I won't come to this office again .

I have been a patient here for 13 or so years. They are the sweetest, professional, dental practice around! Dayton is lucky to have such an awesome group caring for its citizens!! They are affordable especially if you don't have dental insurance. They work with you and aren't holding you hostage for payment in full when it's time to check out for that visit! I LOVE THIS GROUP!!!!

I visited Dr. Shepler for the first time a couple of weeks ago and he, Pam, and Joanne were amazing!!! Everyone here was so nice and confident in the work that they do and made me feel good about going to the dentist. First exposure with Heather and Lindsay in the front office was fabulous- they were able to schedule a cleaning for me the next day !
My hygienist Cyndy had the most delicate touch and perhaps was the best cleaning I have ever had. Dr. Shepler has the best energy and smiling face. I really appreciated the fact he wasn't pushing items I really didn't need (ie fillings etc)
With so many dentist in the Dayton area, I am so glad a friend recommended Van Buren. Great experience! Can't wait to go back (weird I never say that about dentists)

I really do not like this place. I was recommend by my mom, but I've encountered nothing but problems since I switched to this office. I had several problems after having fillings done and had to go back three times to get it adjusted. I've had problems with bills being much more than what was quoted and with scheduling. My hygienist and dentist both seem very sweet and educated. Perhaps I'm having bad luck each time I go, but this place is not a good fit for me.
