We are animal lovers to our core. But we love people, too. Love is patient, love is kind. And all people, from all walks of life, are deserving of it. So no matter who you are, or where you're from, here you will be welcomed as one of our own. Love never fails. Town and Country Animal Hospital is the sister practice of Columbia Pike, a world class veterinary and emergency center.
Many of our veterinarians travel between these locations, and as such, the level of care here is truly exceptional. Here, we are focused on a higher standard of preventive and general medicine. Because we believe in helping your pet live the longest, happiest life possible. Your pet means the world to you.

Dr. Davis Hall is the founder and patriarch of Columbia Pike Animal Hospital and Emergency Center, founded in 1974. Our actual roots were planted in 1974 when, after serving in the military, Dr. Hall acquired Town & Country Animal Hospital in Fairfax. The practice treated both large and small animals, as Northern Virginia was still richly rural.
Gum disease can easily be prevented with proper dental care and yearly cleanings. Brushing your pet's teeth at home twice daily is ideal, and you should start the process as early in their life as possible. We would be glad to help you if you're having any trouble, and can recommend other oral care products to supplement their dental routine.
When performing a thorough exam on your pet, a routine physical is not always enough. To detect internal changes or run pre-surgical blood work, cat and dog imaging & diagnostics are the best option for evaluating the current state of your pet's internal systems.
Here in Fairfax, we offer a variety of tools and methods for assessing the condition of your pet's blood, internal organs and bones, and obtaining results promptly and with great accuracy. These include x-ray, ultrasound, lab testing and more. Call us at (703) 273-2110 to make an appointment today! All our digital imaging diagnostics are reviewed by a board-certified radiologist.

Even if you're not sure about the severity of your pet's condition, we would be glad to offer our assistance in any way we can. Not sure if what your pet just ate could be toxic? Let us know. Regardless of the situation, we want to hear from you.
You might think it will never happen, but as many as 1 in 3 pets get lost at least once in their life, and sadly, very few are returned to their original owners. Pet microchipping has made great strides in keeping pets and owners connected, and once the chip has been implanted, your pet won't even know it's there.

Brought my cat in for emergency, possible UTI. Only 20 min wait. Vet techs took history and Doctor Hall came out to talk to me about evaluation and treatment. Appreciated excellent care and communication. Dr Hall called 1 day later and left a detailed message about a lab result. He said he would call back to see how my cat is doing post treatment.

The vets themselves are great. The office itself is not:
If you need compound medications go somewhere else - They have been giving me the run around on our dogs heart meds. They called it in to a compound pharmacy once and now say they can't do that because they don't carry the compound at their local pharmacy (which is why they called it in somewhere else).
I Emailed management for clarification since the explanation that noone at Town & Country is allowed to tell a pharmacy that my pet needs refills of their prescription but I can use the version they carry (but have to pour powder out of

Such a disorganized and somewhat rude office staff. Called for my mom’s elderly dog with eye problems. First, a ridiculously long “menu” for a vet’s office, before you ever get a person. Then a hold, then a pick up with garbled speech before back on hold. Given an appointment. Called an hour later to inform me that the time of the appointment had been changed (tough luck if you have more than one thing on your calendar for the day!)… only to be called a day later to be told that they (apparently a spontaneous decision?) will close their offices and won’t be open the day of our appointment

This office is SUPER unorganized. To start off.. my appointment was at 12 pm. When I first checked in, someone at the front desk told me to take a seat and that someone would be with me shortly... 20 minutes goes by... no greeting from anyone. I tell the front desk that I have been waiting for awhile and they say "sorry... the 1230 appt actually checked in before you so the vet will have to see the other person first"... Told them I had checked in 20 minutes ago and that no one had greeted me yet. They then said "let me see if the vet can you see really quick". Really quick? No.

Question everything and check your bill! Reception, billing, pharmacy and lab are all unprofessional and unresponsive. I've waited on hold for 30+ minutes several times. They have lost numerous Rx requests and they don't call when the Rx is ready when they tell you they will. They lost my dog's fecal sample and when I came in to give them another sample, no apology for losing the sample, and they tried to charge me again as well as for an ear cleaning solution that I had already overpaid for. When I questioned it, she claimed she was just reading what was in the system. Again, no apology for trying

Brought my cat in for teeth cleaning and one teeth extraction my previous vet had recommended. Dr. kapsur calls me and says 9 extractions and teeth cleaning at $1500 is required. She told me they would show me X-ray and explain it to me why this was needed. I had no choice so I agreed. When I went to pick up my cat, I asked if I could have the dr. speak with me about the surgery. The front desk says she’s busy calling patients about surgeries. Really? I just spent $1500 and had done a surgery with a vet I never met. Don’t you think it’s normal to want to meet the vet? It was a big surgery

I just love love everyone at this vet. They are very professional and friendly! Especially Dr. Hall! He is very informative & knows what he’s doing. I love the fact that there’s 24 hr location in Annandale! Not too far and having them close to me, my heart is at ease, having a senior almost 15 yr old dog. I love everything about them! I just had to extract my baby’s 4 teeth, one of em was abscessed and with his heart murmur, Dr. Hall did a great job cleaning his teeth. My dog and him did an awesome job. What a champ! :)

Great place if you like to be placed on hold for 30 minutes and then to have the call be hung up or if you want to be transferred 3 times then have it hang up. If you call back and explain what happened you get placed on hold again and start the process over. Don't worry about getting to your appointment on time either because you will have a 20 minute wait before anyone can help you. Enjoy the mystery bill at the end too because we had an exam fee every time we brought our puppy there for shots and it could range from $45 to $75 depending on what they felt that day.
