Joshua Powers was born and raised in California and grew up on the central coast of California. He spent a decade in Social Services working for agencies providing help for homeless families and adults with mental illness. After graduating from the Monterey College of Law, he left behind this career and began a new one fighting for the rights of individuals.

I am shocked at all the good reviews on this guy. He lied to me by telling me my charge was going to be a misdemeanor but it wasn't. He never once spoke to be about my case and even went into plea negotiations without ever talking to me about it. I wrote him letters from jail and on the last one begged him to come and talk to me about my case because I had evidence that would be in my favor. He still never came to see me and listen to what I had to say. He was always late and on the day of my sentencing he was 2 1/2 hours after the lunch break. By far the worst attorney I have ever met. I've known Chris Caine for a quick minute and recently a good friend of mine's son got into a bit of legal trouble.
