Education Plus, Inc., d/b/a Education Plus Health, is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization formed in Idaho in 1982 to operate supplemental testing services for students to determine educational needs related to learning differences and capabilities, with the goal of improving and developing competencies and outcomes through tutoring and other special programming.

The founding office in Idaho closed in 2018. Understanding that education and health outcomes are closely interrelated, our model supports the whole student from elementary school through high school and beyond school-based health care paired with our afterschool enrichment programs and post-secondary educational opportunities in two schools for improved academic and health outcomes.

Need in Deed, Executive Director - Wendy Johnson is the Executive Director of Need in Deed in Philadelphia working to improve the education of students grades 3-8 in Philadelphia's traditional public and charter schools. Prior to this leadership role, Wendy-Anne served as the executive director for the Workforce Institute, an affiliate of Public Health Management Corporation (PHMC).
Education Plus Health is a nonprofit organization committed to improving access to high quality healthcare and driving better educational outcomes for underserved communities. Through the school-based health centers in Title One schools, the organization provides holistic health care in collaboration with students' primary care provider and specialists as needed, with special focus on the core areas of concern in our communities.

Education Plus Health operates a college preparation, creative writing, and STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) program for nearly 500 middle and high school students at Building 21 High School and People for People Charter School.Education Plus Health has partnered with Building 21 public school since 2016, a joint venture of the School District of Philadelphia and non-profit organization New Venture Fund.
Education Plus Health supports the whole student from elementary school through high school and beyond with afterschool enrichment programs and post-secondary educational opportunities in addition to our school-based health centers. The organization partners with Harcum College, I-LEAD, and community partners to provide accessible, affordable, and effective post-secondary degree options.
School-Based Health Center (SBHCs) are considered nationally to be one of the most effective strategies for delivering preventive care to under-served youth, particularly adolescents. In-school medical providers are able to provide acute and preventive care, render diagnoses and write prescriptions.
