Services
Here at Viscaya-Prado Veterinary Hospital, we always welcome new clients and patients to our full service veterinary practice in Cape Coral. We know you will be very happy with our services. Our veterinarians and staff are devoted to staying on top of the latest diagnostics, treatments, and wellness programs to maintain your pet's optimal health.
We are happy to book an appointment for you. This is not an automatic process. Once we receive your request, we will contact you to confirm a date and time that is as close to your request as possible. If your appointment has not been confirmed within 24 hours, please feel free to contact the practice by phone to confirm.
While we do require payment at the time of service, for your convenience we do offer a variety of payment options for veterinary care. All emergencies, hospitalizations, and/or treatment cases will be required to leave a deposit upon admitting an animal for hospitalization. Many pet owners are now purchasing pet insurance to help them afford health care for their pet family members.
If your pet needs medical assistance, you can feel confident turning to us. Our knowledgeable staff and modern facilities are equipped to handle a wide variety of medical conditions, including emergencies. Because we can perform many diagnostic procedures in-house, we can often give you immediate answers and start treating your pet faster.
Our veterinarians are experienced in providing specialized care and treatment for exotic companion animals, including ferrets, gerbils, guinea pigs, hamsters, iguanas, rabbits, and snakes. We understand their unique health needs and can provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical services, as well as counseling on nutrition, behavior, and general care.

I have been using the facility for 5 to 6 years periodically and exclusively for the past 3 years. In the last 12 months I have had three negative incidents happen. The first was when I took my dog in for his 6-month checkup and had the doctor look at some cyst like bumps on his legs. After diagnosing it as a basic pimple full of fluid, he took his scissors and started cutting open the cyst on his leg by flicking the scissors without any anesthetic (he said he could take it/his exact words). He was literally slung the fluid in the cyst onto our shoes (my stepson almost blew).

We were able to collect a sample later that evening, and brought it over first thing the next morning, that was on Tuesday. We were told they would call us with the results. After not hearing from them, we called back, at which point we were
