I came here to pick up an order for someone they told me it would be a few minutes the guy at the front desk saidI was waiting 15 minutes throughout my way I as the status of my order and the man at the Bryant totally ignored my question he answer everyone else and continue to ignore me. Wish they delivered but with Covid, completely understandable. Was looking for a new place and found this one close by so I gave it a shot. I fed my whole visiting family of 8 for like $60 so it was definitely well worth the price. Not only that, but because I had a large order the man at the counter gave me some free drinks on my way out. It was really busy but I got my takeout in like 5 minutes. I'm done with Jacky Chen. In my previous review I noted that they forgot my rice and how pissed off I was when I got home after working all day and found an incomplete meal in the bag.
They also absolutely refuse to make food spicy. You can ask until you're blue in the face, and the receipt will say "spicy spicy spicy" and they still won't do it. I don't know why. I resorted to requesting hot oil, and they started charging 25 cents for it. I shouldn't have to pay extra to make a dish marked "spicy" actually spicy.
The last straw was tonight. I ordered

So... we ordered food online only to find out that despite it saying that they're open they are not. So the online system accepted and took my payment for the order. Fast forward an hour and 15 min, we called and no one is answering the phone (we know why now as, obviously, they're closed). Now I have to dispute the charge with my credit card company. Awesome, and I'm still hungry!

Love this place and their food. Everything is always delicious and hot. I wish they delivered to our house but we are happy to pick it up. The broccoli in garlic sauce is delicious. We also enjoy the short ribs, general tso and teriyaki chicken sticks. If you're into shrimp, the shrimp and veggies are super good. We have yet to try an item on their menu that isn't well made.

First time dining on a recommendation. Jacky's moved to the top of the take-out list, replacing the past go-to on the same road, and that recently re-located across from BB&T. Used two spicy favorites in making a determination for a rating: Kung Pao Chicken lunch, $5.25 (they spell it Po on the menu), and a pint of hot-n-sour soup at $2.75. The dinner-sized lunch portion of really solid chicken with lots of veg had creeper heat. Soup was better than a typical serving from other stores with more veg, chicken and mushrooms than usual. Have been ordering General Tso's from their for years. Obviously, pretty good. Not spicy, though. Hunan chicken decent, too- but not spicy. Ordered Orange chicken tonight for the first time, along with General Tso's. They did label the two, but sadly, tasted EXACTLY the same. Will be breaking up with Jacky after all these years. Bye bye

After reading several of the reviews I wasn't sure what to expect, so being new to the area I just took a chance. Very pleased with my meal and service and so are the others that joined me. I ordered from the healthy meal options, the shrimp and scallops were large and plentiful, had one or the other in each bit. White rice was not under or overcooked. Each veggie was steamed just right keeping flavor and texture and they put my roux on the side so my food didn't drown or get soggy.

The food here only gets better each time we order. We always find the service to be great but in the past the food was sometimes not tasting too fresh.
The last 10 times we picked up food it has tasted great. Love the fresh tasting egg rolls. What we have found recently is that we can order almost any menu items as a combination dish.

This is the second time I have tried Jacky Chen's. The first time I was unimpressed and thought I would not try them again. But, in desperation for Asian food in a hurry, (they are fairly close) I placed a takeout order. Actually, nothing has changed since last summer. The chicken wings are so over cooked and dried out and hard. The shrimp fried rice is fairly tasteless and light on the shrimp. The shrimp lo mein is actually the worst I have ever eaten. All in all, it just isn't good. This time I threw away their takeout menu and I won't order again. I will start an earnest

I'm new to the area and i have tried them twice and both tomes the food was on point. I had my food delivered the first time and it was wonderful! Tonight i picked my food up to check the place out and was very pleased. Its a small spot but clean and the people were friendly and helpful. I think i may have found my new spot.
