Had a large group, was not difficult to get a reservation but was told that if I was late, that they would give up my table and when I got there I could see why. The seating was very limited. That being said, the food was delicious. I ordered the meatloaf melt and it was soooo good đź‘Ť. The others in my party of 10 people enjoyed their fare as well. Their tenderloin was a big hit. The waitress, Maggie, was a delight and served us with cheerfulness and speed. The one problem with my meal was that the meatloaf melt that I ate was kind of sloppy and served on a basket with paper lining and the deliciousness

We just came here for the first time in a long time. The service was incredible, the staff was so nice, and the food was amazing. Anything I've had here has been really good. I just tried the special which was fish, shrimp, and mashed potato, and it was so good! It was also a lot of food for the price. My grandparents used to bring us here a lot because they really like the roast beef and mashed potatoes (that's what they get every time because they love it so much). The pork tenderloin items on the menu are also great! I highly recommend eating here!

Yesterday, four of us stopped by for lunch. I ordered the hot turkey sandwich. The turkey, to me looked like deli meat, sliced to thin, was fried and was burnt around the edges. The potatoes and gravy were… good. The other three in our group did like what they ordered. We did purchase a loaf of pumpkin bread which was really good. Service was excellent.

Tenderloins best we have ever had and the largest. For some reason, today’s service was very poor. Asked for water, in addition to the soda I ordered but never got it. Nor did the waitress ever come back to see if we needed anything. Told the young girl clearing the table we were ready for check, but ended up having to go to the check out to get it. At that time, our waitress was putting kolaches into boxes.

Went to the Wiley location. Service was goods and cashier was very pleasant. Just ordered the large tenderloin sandwich with crisscut fries. The tenderloin was huge and more than enough for one sitting. Done perfectly and everything was great! The only thing I'd say is the hamburger bun does not really match the tenderloin (in size and quality). This would be better served on a larger, sturdier bun. Overall though it was very good and I ate way too much! I'd recommend for an inexpensive lunch or dinner with the family or a quick grab and go.

The girl who took my order was very pleasant, but that was the best part. The tenderloin was bland. With "worlds largest tenderloin" as a marketing, the flavor should back it up. Everything was very basic. I could have made it all at home where the decor is more than just T-shirt's on the wall....

I can't believe I ate the whole thing. That was my mantra after I ate the large tenderloin. I can't believe I ate the whole thing. I wasn't planning on eating the whole thing. When it was delivered to me, I remember thinking that there was no way I could eat a tenderloin the size of a dinner plate. I was wrong. I could. I did. I regret nothing. It was amazing!

Everything about this restaurant screamed comfort food. It's not fancy. It is just good. The onion rings were perfect. The tater tot's were crispy. The service was incredibly friendly(shout out to Zoe). I am very

They make a great tenderloin, which is their signature dish. Mostly just a good array of sandwiches but they do have daily specials. The place is small and it's serve yourself but the portions are more than generous. Beware of the large tenderloin, it's huge not large. A great place for a auick bite as the service is usually quite fast

Was pretty disappointed after our visit here. What enticed us was the large tenderloins we saw on the yelp photos. We walked in to find this place to be a very mom and pop type of shop. Lots of locals here, seemed pretty homey and friendly. But unfortunately for us, we didn't love the tenderloin sandwich. We also ordered a steak sandwich. Both were a bit dry and not very tasty. We were both trying to find different sauces we could dip our sandwiches into for extra taste. Our toddler got a hot dog, but it was on a non-hot dog bun, more like a sub bun, a bit harder for him to eat. But he still

The sign outside boasts of Iowa's largest pork tenderloin sandwich. Who could possibly resist testing the veracity of that claim!

The sandwich really was huge. Really, really huge. At least 2 1/2 times the size of the bun huge. If I ever went back I would get the small size because this was way too big for me. Hubs finished his fine, though.

I got mine with waffle fries and Hubs got his with regular fries. He ordered better. My waffle fries were seasoned just like his fries but my waffle fries held too much oil. The problem was the oil had a taste. Not rancid or bad, just, maybe a little

Joensy's deserves five stars for doing what they do in such a great way. Simple menu with nothing but the best of the Midwest classics. All the locations around deliver on the promise of one huge tenderloin!

The service is never an issue thanks to the fact that you order at the counter and seat yourself. The prices are right and the food is sure to fill you up.

They even have a half tenderloin option for those of you that can't handle the big dog option lol. Get here and enjoy!

Where to start....
Kinda divvy ... And that is ok.
Yes on credit cards.
Order first.
Ok on price 13 bucks small and drink.
Tenderloin for sure, I opted for the potato salad.
And serve your self drink.
I ordered the small loin.
Nice bun sized loin.
Looked like the cut the full sized in 1/2.
Maybe 3/8 thick on the meat.
Cooked to perfection.
Now on to the tater salad
Yea I am a real snob on tater salad.
This gave moms recipe a run for the money!
Disappointed on the serving size of the tater salad..
They need to offer 8 oz by volume at the min!
This was maybe at best 2 oz....
Place in side was kinda

Okay, perhaps five stars is a bit of grade inflation, but given the fact that I can't find anything similar in the entire San Francisco Bay Area region, coming home to a Joensy's pork tenderloin is reason enough to be generous with the rating.

I used to go to the old Joensy's restaurant in Solon, often right after spending some time at Macbride. It had a bit of a dark, dive bar atmosphere and the workers always looked at me a little funny, but you couldn't beat the food. One funny piece of Joensy's history: back in the day, they offered a "veggie" tenderloin

The quintessential small town café. I was introduced to Joensy's by my realtor 16 years ago when we were looking for a house in Linn County. Having looked at a home in Center Point, he treated us to lunch, and I've been back many times, even having bicycled up to Center Point via the Cedar Valley Nature Trail.

The atmosphere is definitely down home. If you get there at lunchtime you may have to wait a few minutes because it gets busy, and it is pretty small. But service is quick and friendly. The food is very nice, nothing fancy, but always served hot. The meal specials should always

Had the dinner special, smothered chicken, 30 minutes before closing. Gravy fresh and creamy, real mashed potatoes still fresh. Chicken was juicy and flavorful. Portions just right, not any leftover, but I was plenty satisfied. $6.50. Can't beat this anywhere. Watched the playoffs. Great meal.

Checked this place out based on reviews. Out of towner, walked in-place the locals go to!

Clean, plenty of seating. Friendly staff.

Tried the Big A$$ Pork Cutlet sandwich and fries. As advertised, it's HUGE, and good! Well done, tasty. Fries good.

Side salad, just ok, nothing special, but not bad. It's was large, good dressing.

Coworker got burger-said it was good.

Recommend this place.

This is about my second visit here. The first time I came in with a friend who really wanted to try the tenderloin, while I had a banana shake. My friend let me try a bit of his tenderloin and I was impressed. I ordered my shake and asked for a large banana shake. The waiter was more than happy to make it and it was delicious. I even ended up tipping him an extra 2 dollars. I would be giving a very high review for this place IF all my experiences were as good as the first.

The second time I stopped by, I asked for a large banana shake. The waitress told me they didn't have a large shake

This was one of my husband's favorite places back when he lived in Cedar Rapids, and while we were there last weekend visiting his mom, he decided I was worthy enough to bring along to Joensy's. (We've been married 11 years. It's about damn time. LOL)

There are booths along the walls, table in the middle, self-serve soda fountain, sticky floor in front of said soda fountain.....you know the drill. My husband got the regular pork tenderloin sandwich, and my mother-in-law and I shared a small. Wise decision. Holy @$%*balls! His sandwich was a MONSTER. I found it particularly
