When it comes to mental health, most of us have the impression that maintenance is something that just happens naturally, but the truth is that it takes work to consistently invest in your own mental health. This year La'Mar Walker, LPC, CPCS is taking on sensitive topics in an interactive and informative environment, in order to allow each of you to get to know yourself, your goals, and your barriers using a no pressure methodology.
La'Mar A. Walker, LPC, CPCS is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Georgia with nearly a decade of counseling experience providing individual, group, marriage, and family counseling. Mr. Walker works with clients presenting treatment concerns such as depression, anxiety, and personality disorders, as well as substance abuse, chemical dependency, and recovery.
Mental Health is a taboo subject in our society. With years of experience and the charisma to match, La'Mar is engaging while still delivering the message, "Your Mental Health Matters.". Speaker La'Mar Walker, LPC, CPCS can be hired for endorsements and events in roles such as public speaking, facilitating, and public relation campaigning.
When we think about grief and loss we generally only think about the loss of a loved one. Yes, loss of a loved one is difficult and many people experience it differently. What about the losses that we don't really pay attention to? For example, what about the loss of time, youth, work, freedom, homes, dreams, religion, relationships and health.

I am so grateful for Mindful Works Counseling. La’Mar Walker has been an amazing guide and has helped me when I was trying to find balance within myself, fulfillment in my life, and a better understanding of my mind and spirit. He has a thoughtful way of listening that always made me feel understood. His approach to helping me was unlike any other counselor I had previously gone to. It was refreshing to have a counselor that was not only knowledgeable, but relatable. Not only did he give me tools, he helped me understand how to use them. He is easy to talk to and very helpful and I can wholeheartedly

This company lacks professionalism. When I inquired about their services and what insurance they accepted they were not thorough in response and was riddled with grammatical error. With the very brief response in the email, it made me feel as a potential client disregarded. it is concerning that the email lacked professional salutations and business email format. It is important to mention that they should be more specific and addressing and updating information on their website to answer questions similar to mine.

Mindful works (LaMarr) has been a great asset to my relationship. He is very empathetic and gives practical and useful techniques and tools to help us better communicate and find a level of understanding with each other. His direct and honest feedback is refreshing to have when you cant see past the sometimes tunnel vision we all tend to have when dealing with our spouse. I didn’t think i needed counseling but I definitely knew that WE needed counseling to bridge the gap. I am very pleased so far from where we were to where we have come under the direction and guidance of LaMarr and i look forward

I've had quite a few appointments with Mr Walker. He does the one thing many therapist, psychologist, and psychiatrist don't do which is simply listen to his client. That's rare these days. It's a great feeling when I walk out his office knowing I was finally heard and not disregarded in any way. Definitely looking forward to actually keeping an appointment now.
