Ted is the founder and President of Chapin & Russell Associates, the premiere, counseling and consulting group practice in Peoria, Illinois. He has over 30 years of experience as a clinician, consultant and coach. He also provides psychological testing, child custody evaluation, and discernment assessment for religious vocations.
Robert is an experienced counselor in the mental health, substance abuse, and educational settings. He is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. In education, Robert holds type 03 - teaching certification for grades K-9 and a type 73- school counseling certification. Robert works with children, adolescents, adults and family systems.
Chapin & Russell Associates provides a full range of outpatient mental health services with experienced providers who are qualified to assess and offer interventions that deal with most concerns and conditions that our clients face. Here are brief descriptions of many of the issues addressed in our practice.
When the time and expense of counseling is not necessary, but the advice of a trained mental health professional is still needed, Chapin & Russell Associates offers the additional option of a personal coach. The purpose of personal coaching is to provide clients with help toward the resolution of a specific problem or the achievement of a meaningful personal, family or professional goal.

The people here are nice enough but this place is a joke. I had to pay $500 for a letter of diagnosis for gender dysphoria and I was misgendered and deadnamed throughout, even AFTER I responded to a draft letter with corrections. No attention to detail and you really feel like you're just a paycheck at the end of the day.

Dr. Chapin is very unprofessional, and I am speaking from personal experience. While I would like to share details, he treated me in a manner that makes me reluctant to be on his "bad side." So, I will have to leave it at this, and hope that people will exercise caution before choosing him as a doctor. This note is regarding Dr. Chapin only. I can't speak for the other staff.
