I have been a patient of Doctor Soorani's for a year now, I used to be quite skeptical of seeing a psychiatrist for my PTSD, Autism and ADHD, however Docotor Soorani helped change all that. His understanding, kind and approachable demeanor made it easy for me to open up and know that I truly can trust him. He did not just prescribe me medication right away like other psychiatrists had and took a holistic and precautious approach before doing so. To say he is a good doctor is severely underrating his professionalism and experience. He is an amazing physician. Thanks to him I am doing much

5 stars for depth of knowledge, compassion, and deep understanding of neurological processes and how they respond to different medications.

After having seen other people in this field and feeling disappointed (as though I was getting "cookie cutter" advice, Dr. Soorani took a ton of time with me and pin-pointed a medication to help me overcome the lasting results of a traumatic brain injury.

The one downside to his thoroughness is that sometimes appointments run very long, and then that has a domino-effect on other appointments that builds up, so the wait time is usually substantial

Perhaps one of the worst Psychiatrists in this city.
This Review is way past due.
I saw Dr Soorani in 2014- 2015 for my son. He totally misdiagnosed him and also prescribed the medication that absolutely changed his life.
I have been grieving for 3 years. Its about time to finally report him to the board.

Wow! This doctor really cares about his patients. He literally talked to me for two hours during our initial consultation. I feel very confident under his care and his hours are super flexible and convenient. He's both brilliant and really compassionate!

He continued treatment even though I was penniless he refused to stop my treatment even though I couldn't afford to pay him. Dr. Soorani is, as Yelp says, as good as it gets! He is SO intelligent on such a level that you have to admire his knowledge. He is full of great life lessons, and always has something encouraging to say. He is on a different level as far as top-notch doctors! He's one of a kind, and I am so happy that I found out about him! Thank you for everything you do, Dr. Soorani!

This guy will make you wait for 3 hours even if you have an appointment and he will stall and ramble during his sessions with you so that he can bill you for more time in his office. He went to the University of Guadalajara in Mexico because there is a loophole in the system that allows you to spend less time in medical school in Mexico and you can still receive an MD.Run!

It hurts me to see anyone write something negative about this gentle, kind, human being. Dr. Soorani has been my pain specialist and psychiatrist for 11 years now. Do I have to wait much longer than planned at times? Yes, I do. However, the reason I continue to wait, is because I know how much he cares for each and every patient. He does not “ramble” about things, he gets to know you and talks about his life as well, in order to get to know his patients better, in order to really know how to treat them. He is very knowledgeable in all things medical. And for the record, he is getting much better

If I could give this doctor zero stars I would. He totally overcharged my son and the office lied to my face numerous times. Cecilia, the office manager said she sent in a claim. When my insurance company didn't get the claim I asked her to send it to me to see if she did it correctly. After numerous requests she finally sent it to me and I discovered she had put the wrong ID number. When I asked her to send in a new claim with the correct ID number, she lied and said she did but really never did send it until I had my insurance company call her since she wouldn't answer my calls

Yes, it takes a long time to actually get in and see Dr. Soorani. Yes, this is a pain. Yes, all kinds of people walk in and take precedence over patients with appointments.

And YES, he is one of the finest doctors I have ever met. He has great compassion and guess what? He actually talks to the patient and gives advice on how to solve problems. And, YES, he takes as much time as the patient needs even if his secretary is calling ever five minutes that your time is up. God Bless Dr. Soorani.

And Dr. Soorani, if you are reading this, as I write this I think of the Samuri!
