Everybody wants to be healthy, right? Last year, before the coronavirus hit, I joined Zone Fitness Club in Carrollwood. My steady exercise regimen, when coupled with eating right, helped me lose almost 25 pounds.
Then, coronavirus hit and the lockdown happened. Thankfully, I was able to continue my workouts at home because my wife has an auto immune disorder that makes working out in public a potential danger to her health.

I just joined this gym as it's closer to work than home. It's an an okay gym that does offer different machines than the chained gyms that is pretty much standard equipment. I always start off with cardio to warm up and like to watch a little TV. They have at least 11 TVs that you have a choice of watching and every single different machine I have used only one TV works. Of course you have to be in front of it to watch it most times. That's too many without not fixing the issue. The only other issue is the female restroom. So it need to be cleaned throughly when you have showers

About a year ago I joined Zone fitness and after 8 months I wasn't able to continue attending as I needed to seek medical attention due to a medical condition I was diagnosed with. I lost my job, lost my house and everything anyone else had to live a regular life style. I'm now trying to get back on my feet just started working and paying medical bills apart from everything else I lost. I've been a member at Zone for about 5 months now. Before that I went to Crunch. These gyms are the complete opposite. Wanting to stray from the busyness and the crowd the frequented Crunch, we set out to find a good gym.
Zone so far has been a good base gym for us! With all the typical work out equipment plus the recently added terf for the sled push, Zone has basically everything you need to get a great workout. Even during the expected busy times (before work and after work), there are never too many people there to get your workout in.
The prices for a membership are much more reasonable

BEWARE! HERE LIVE SCAMMERS! NO INTEGRITY. Read other reviews for confirmation of what I am telling you! They will continue to charge your credit card for MONTHS even after you speak directly to the OWNER of the business! I moved from Tampa 3 months ago and spoke to the owner back then and I still cannot get him to stop charging my card no matter how many times I speak to him, his employees or even when I send the emails he demands. In person they will smile, be friendly and promise you that leaving is easy. People who are that disingenuous are the most dangerous to interface with, they

I encourage my fellow Yelpers to also read the Google reviews, because out of 78 reviews on there, this gym has a 4.4 rating (at the time of writing this review). If you ask me, a 4.4 rating for a GYM is very good. If you also look at those on Yelp who reviewed this gym who gave it one or two stars, you'll see that they also have not reviewed many venues in general. One person gave it one star - has only 3 reviews total, all negative. Another one has only four reviews, with most negative. (And it sounds like they didn't read the contract, to begin with.)

Well I am moving out of the area and need to cancel my membership. Not easy thing to do here. I have to appear at the gym an they fill out a cancellation membership form or I can send in a letter. Anything to make it more difficult to and time consuming to cancel. Plus two months membership fees and a $25 admin fee. So over to $80 just to leave the gym. I hope my next gym is better at treating their members than Zone. The cost of leaving was well worth being gone from that gym. It's in the contract I can here. Just be reasonable with your members. All I ask.

Machines are good and plenty to use. Never crowded. Good personal trainer session area. Cons: they clean the machines ... while you are on them. The vacuum chord is like an industrial length size and a huge liability the way they plug it in to one end and proceed to vacuum a very large area. Seen many people almost trip on it. Plus: quantity of machines, kept in good use, inexpensive, owner seems lovely. There is a second gentleman I've seen mostly at nights that is very difficult to deal with. Joe who is the owner of the business. Pulled a binder at the time of signing up and offered several different memberships. He has the audacity to offer the full package which stated was a month to month membership. I asked if I need to cancel membership will I need to pay any fees in order to cancel. He stated no, all you would need to pay is your required $25 required cancellation fee. He now proceeded to charge me almost 3 months of service ahead to "cancel". Now he has the audacity to charge me another $43 for a second "cancelation" fee. This man offers products in his gym

Sooooo thrilled this new fitness center opened up-- was dreading at the thought of having to go to the run down place next to my house off of Gunn hwy.
This place is super clean, staff is extremely friendly and willing to show you around without feeling like thier trying to sell you something or training sessions.
So happy with this place so far!

They get you in the door at $10 and then they try to sell you more- doesn't matter if you have a $10 membership or a $25 membership to join the classes its $89 dollars a month!!! So if you want to get all the benefits of a gym i'ts $100 a month - and there is $39 membership fee that they don't advertise either.
