Veranda Dentistry is a cutting edge dental practice in Pleasant Hill IA and has been providing exceptional dental care for patients in Polk County for over 10 years. Dr. Chad Johnson developed Veranda Dentistry (formerly Oral Health Clinic, P.C.) in Pleasant Hill, Iowa, the Central Iowa town where he was raised. Dr. Chad is a Southeast Polk High School graduate. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Iowa and continued at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, earning a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2005.
Dr. Hannah Turner was born and raised in West Des Moines, IA where she graduated from Valley High School. She then completed her undergraduate studies at Wartburg College in Waverly, IA where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and minor in Business. During her undergraduate years, she was a member of the Wartburg Women's Soccer Team.

I don't make many reviews but this place is by far the best Dentist office I've ever been to. I used to have high anxiety whenever I went to the dentist like most people do I assume, but ever since finding Veranda and their team. I almost get excited that I have a dentist appointment now.

Had 3 wisdom teeth removed and an implant put in yesterday. Went smooth and painless. In and out in under an hour. Dr Johnson was great throughout the process. And explained every step. Also took blood and extracted the plasma to put back in the extraction site to aid in the healing process. I'm sure I'm not explaining that process perfectly. But pretty cool stuff.

Primary dentist wanted to charge me $1000 out-of-pocket, I wanted a second opinion. Next day, I got a flyer from Veranda Dentistry for a FREE second opinion! If that's not a sign, I don't know what is. Veranda Dentistry said I didn't need ANY work done. I had a shadow they were going to monitor but as long as I wasn't having any problems they were ok too! Been my favorite dentist office since!!

Wonderful place for your oral hygiene care! The staff is so caring and engaging with any concerns you may have. The staff is so professional, Heather is one of the hygienist and she’s such a delight. She makes the experience less scary, love her laugh and conversation. Dr. Chad is usually who I see, and he’s just so special, his enthusiasm and knowledge about oral care/dentistry is outstanding. However, this last visit I had the pleasure to see Dr. Emily, she was so pleasant and engaging it was such a pleasurable visit. ❤️

Had my first visit with Carrie and Dr Emily today. Very thorough and professional, while also being friendly and showing concern for my comfort. No dental insurance, so they helped me figure out that their VIP Plan would save me money. I am definitely happy with the care I received today and made an appointment for my next checkup.

I have HUGE anxiety issues when it comes to dentist. I've recently started going back after 8+years due to my gum disease getting worse. they are so patient and take all my concerns into account before starting any procedure. my most recent appointment was going to be a long one and I had a cozy blanket waiting for me and given head phones and listened to my fav station on Spotify. I have more appointments coming up and not feeling as nervous!!
