One of the most trusted names in the death care industry, Legacy Funeral Group, was founded in 1998 by Michael Soper, an executive with years of experience in funeral home and cemetery marketing.
Soper knew first-hand some of the financial and operational struggles faced by smaller funeral homes, and saw an opportunity to provide what these funeral homes so desperately needed a chance to receive a little bit of structure and experienced management support while retaining an intimate, family feel; all in order to provide compassionate care to local clients.Fast forward to today.

I've been self-employed my entire life and never dreamed of working for someone else. Trusting Michael Soper's team to continue serving families in the same manner to which they were accustomed to, was one of the best decisions I've made. Selling to Legacy was not only good for my wife and me, it offered my employees more opportunities than I could have ever provided for them.
Why do so many people trust Legacy Funeral Group during their time of need? Over the past several decades, we have developed a commitment to delivering the highest quality of service alongside and a sincere desire to help families within the communities we serve to handle the changes and transitions that come with life.
Finding a career within the funeral service industry is unique-indeed, it is a calling. Unlike other businesses, working in funeral service is not simply a job. It requires the ability to offer a sense of comfort during a time of need. The profession is driven by the compassionate need to serve others, offer a steady hand, and support the living during times of grief.
Davis Funeral Home & Memorial Park cared for 32 of the 58 people killed. The funeral home received assistance from staff from other Legacy Funeral Group funeral homes who flew into Nevada City the day after the shootings. Scammed I made the mistake of trusting them for a floral delivery for a funeral and I was totally scammed and ripped off. I ordered an arrangement with one of their telephone con artist for $145.00 and when it arrived it was actually 1/3rd the size. I counted the flowers, literally 60% were missing. They also charged extra for a banner to go across the spray, this was a very important part of the arrangement to me and they pocked the money and didn't even put it on! Unbelievable that they would rip someone off in their time of sympathy...shame on these scammers!!!and Ripped Off
