Mabrie Memorial Mortuary provided exceptional service to me and my family after my father passed. We were told to contact a mortuary and decided to go with Mabrie for a number of reasons. They are black-owned, centrally located in the city of Houston, and we had both a familial and professional connection. Having no experience in planning a funeral, I was mentally overwhelmed with what I imagined would happen during the process. However, upon contacting them and speaking with Justin Mabrie, I was assured of a much simpler process (on my end). They handled everything in a most seamless manner

Losing a loved one is never easy, especially when you're young. I searched online for a black owned funeral home that could accommodate my large family. I found Mabrie Memorial in the heart of Houston...a place I've passed a million times but didn't know would be visiting in the near future. Having to manage the grief of family and friends, I was at capacity and feeling overwhelmed. The director (Justin Mabrie) held my hand through the entire process from beginning to end. No one wants to feel rushed during this process and the entire staff made sure we felt accommodated and welcomed

Just wanted to say that my family and I would not have been able to get through the passing of my Father back in February 2020 if not for the Love and Care that was giving to us by the staff especially Justin and Ms. Jones. It's never a pleasant experience when having to say bye to a family member but I and my family could not Thank them enough for making this as stress free as possible. I will be using their services again when needed and will recommend them to all my friends and other family. They are kind and very professional.

I cannot begin to express our gratitude, appreciation and immense respect that my family and I have for the Mabrie staff. After being extremely let down from a previous funeral mortuary, we ran across Mabrie and reached out at the last minute to see if they could conduct our dad's homegoing service for us. In our frustration and vulnerability, Justin went above and beyond to assist us in our time of need. He was attentive, intuitive, knowledgeable, friendly, caring, patient, compassionate and the epitome of professionalism. He explained things in a way in which we could understand. Not only

It's never easy losing a loved one but I have used Mabrie Mortuary now for two family members. Justin and his team are so amazing, they handled everything seamlessly and even go above and beyond by adding special touches. They pay attention to every detail and were so caring and helpful to both my mother and my aunt. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else. Thank you for being so patient with us and being there for our family. Honestly words can't thank you enough.

This place is ridiculous! First of all, they charge you and arm and a leg to bury someone but I get it "death" is big business. When you charge someone that kind of money, you better be top of the line yourself! First off, they use a DVD player and vhs player for videos in 2019! They have no WiFi, no computer system, nothing! The people have access to nothing when you go there on the weekends! I guess that's why they charge $400 for a video that people can make from their cell phones. It's absolutely ridiculous. They don't call and check on you or anything. God forbid I
