Our staff at Davidson Fine Art has over 100 years of combined experience in designing and creating unique custom frames. We have over 2000 moldings to choose from and we use only archival materials to preserver your art for generations to come. Owner Rob Davidson has been a custom framer for over 30 years.
Bay Area Art Supply is the last remaining Art supply store in Downtown St Petersburg Florida. We are located within Davidson Fine Art in the front of the store on the left side entrance on Central Avenue. We carry a variety of supplies for the local art scene, including Golden Paints, Fredrix stretched canvas, Winsor and Newton paintbrushes and more.
Zebra Color Lab has been in downtown for the over 30 years and was located on First Ave North. In 2015 when Kelly and Bruce were about to close the lab and retire Rob Davidson made them an offer to keep the legacy going and keep Film processing alive. We moved the operation onto Central Ave inside Davidson Fine Art.
We have the largest selection of limited edition Rock Concert Posters in the Tampa Bay area. You can purchase the posters in the frames we have selected or you can choose to frame it in any of our over 2000 frames. Following the advice of the St Petersburg Museum of History, I asked Davidson Fine Art to restore and frame an historic sepia tone photograph. The source material was a 100-year-old print. The staff’s knowledge, experience and advice made a difficult task seem effortless and their customer service is superb.

Brought in a caricature sketch that had a water stain and needed restoring. They quoted me $75 for a scanning, photo shop and reprinting which I thought was ridiculous. I took it to Office Depot and they did exactly the same thing for $1.77. The restored sketch was excellent and they used quality paper. Davidsons is a rip off!

We have a commitment to buy local and partner local when ever possible. To that end a client requested 5 very large (4' x 10') canvas prints be printed, stretched and delivered on a very tight timeline. I called and spoke with Rob who was very professional and despite our tight timeline said he could get it done. But then the timeline got tighter due to client needs. I went back to Rob and he not only got them done, he got them done in near unreasonable time. Everything turned out beautiful and our client was OVERJOYED. I just had Rob frame some very unusual art work. They were Chinese agates depicting the four seasons in 2 sizes and a fossil fish. He was brilliant in his selection of the most suitable frames and matting. He explained the differences in the types of glass used. These were difficult pieces to work as they were stone and a minimal shadow box had to be created so as not to detract from the works but yet protect them. I would HIGHLY recommend him and trust him with your most valuable artwork. He himself is an artist! Thank you, Rob for taking such great care with these pieces.
