Dr. Walters graduated from Colorado State University in 1995 and has been practicing veterinary medicine for 22 years. She enjoys the challenges of internal medicine but is also an advocate of preventive health care to keep our pets healthy and happy for many years. Dr. Walters is dedicated to strong client care, animal welfare, and has been actively involved in pet rescue for many years.

The veterinarians and staff at our clinic are ready to provide your pet with cutting edge veterinary medical care. From wellness exams and vaccines to advanced diagnostics and complex surgical procedures, your pet will receive high quality care at our hospital.
Both of the vets I have seen are wonderful with our pets. I feel that the vets and the staff have a genuine love for animals. Prices are much more reasonable than many of the other vets in town and the care is better too. Everyone is very helpful and kind. Losing a beloved pet is terrible, but they made the whole process go smoothly so we could just focus on our last few moments with Cat Willy.

We've been taking our dogs to Summer Valley Vet Clinic for 30 years or more!!! They are the absolute best vet clinic we've ever been to. Our latest experience was when our little French bulldog passed away on 11/8/2021. She was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer 4 days earlier. The doc & staff were so sweet, took great care of our dog, VERY compassionate & informative regarding her cancer!! If we get another puppy, they are the ONLY clinic that we will take the puppy. Their fees are reasonable, too!!! If anyone wants to try them out, you will NOT be disappointed!!! They are wonderful to all pets

Well we had taken our cat there numerous times no problem. Then earlier this year she want doing good. We told them everything that was wrong with her , the did a full check up and said we need to keep an eye on her . So fast forward two months our cat is doing even worse. We call to explain the servility of the situation and all they said is to bring her in on their next available appointment which was 3 weeks away?????? She passed away that same day

Recently brought my dog to this vet. We liked it! She is pretty picky and won't make it an easy time if she is overwhelmed by the smell of other animals. She didn't mind going into this vet so that was a good sign right off the bat! Receptionist was friendly and patient with my questions. The vet was super nice and very kind to my pup, they took great care of her and gave her plenty of treats. We left very happy customers. So why the 4 stars? I did have a possible emergency recently, after the visit and we were already customers. I called this office and they were unwilling to offer advice

Our experience with Summer Valley started somewhere around 2009/2010 when we decided to find another vet after taking our dog for a year to Alameda East & being very unhappy with the experience there. At the time AE had coded in my dog's file that he was a biter, and had to be muzzled for all visits. Based on a friend's recommendation we saw Dr. Feder @ Summer Valley. On our first visit, our dog never tried to bite Dr. Feder, and let himself be examined thoroughly. We were so impressed with how our dog was treated, and how he responded to the staff, that we knew we had found a place

I took my 9 year old, tiny 5lb dog here today for his yearly checkup. I was dreading it because my little guy is always knocked out and in pain for 2-3 days after. This was the first time my dog has EVER NOT had a reaction to his shots! I am so happy with the kindness, patience and care that went into this visit! I won't take my dogs anywhere else after today. Thank you!!!!!

Dr. Walters and Dr. Fetter are amazing with my fur babies. They always approach my babies warmly which my babies love and kiss them with tails wagging. The vet techs are extremely sweet and welcoming as well.
I like that the pricing for heartworm medications and vaccinations are very competitive. Whether it is Dr. Fetter or Dr. Walters, they are very thorough in examinations and always take the time to answer all my questions.

This is hands down the best vet we have seen. We have taken all of our dogs here and they have been extremely helpful with any illness and they have gone above and beyond when our dog's kidneys began to fail. They are extremely sensitive and sympathetic when dealing with the loss of a furry family member as well.

Wow first time here . I found a gold mine of a very nice staff and vet. I have 3 dogs plus my sis dog makes four to get their shots . I was able to get same day service. I had seen some of the reviews and I can tell you they go out of their way to my your babies comfortable and calm . All the dogs got tear shots and tags. Check mark off the list .

Just adopted a 1 year old kitty. She had some sort of respiratory issue so I had Jinx taken there. They gave her an exam for free and said it may be viral. They said if it doesn't clear up in a week, call them back. A week later, I called and they had no problem getting the meds for her.
2 days later she's doing better.
Friendly staff and location is great. I can get there in 5 minutes.

Please do not go to this place. They are friendly but they just want your money. They did not take care of my cat right away and he died. Second animal my dog. Doctor kept saying he just has extra fat tissue. Finally went to a new place and found out my dog has cancer! When I asked Summer vally to check on his bump the doctor would shake his bump and say it is find. Thanks for making my dog worse.

My puppies really like these folks - which considering my older dog is a royal B#$%^ at times literally and figuratively - is saying a lot. I was in dire straights for a new place to board my dogs and this place came recommended. They specialize in older dogs and those that have medical issues. They always welcome me and the girls with a smile and a pet (the dogs that is).
