After going to Evolve Academy for 5 years and participated in all the programs they have to offer, I can proudly say that Evolve is one of the best institution to learn martial arts. The atmosphere is very welcoming and you'll have no problem making new friends and training partners. As a teenager I felt that I learned the lessons needed to properly defend myself while also boosting my self confidence. The instructors here were also above and beyond my expectations, always giving great advice and sharing laughs. I would gladly recommend Evolve academy to anyone interested in martial arts. Evolve Academy is a wonderful academy that teaches its students not only proper striking and grappling skills, but self defense as well. Evolve Academy understands what the customers want and delivers. It's clean and maintains a family-friendly atmosphere. I don't live close to it, but am glad to drive further just to go to Evolve even though I could go somewhere else much closer. I would drive even further just to have the experience I do at Evolve academy.

I started my martial arts journey at Evolve Academy nearly 14 yrs ago. The current facilitiy is top notch, the instructors are phenomenal, and the atomsphere produces powerful, kind, and honorable people that succeed on the mats as well as in everyday life. I took my first BJJ courses here and it was the perfect place to learn. It is rare to get an instructor that is a master technician but also an outstanding teacher. Furthermore, you learn more than just BJJ here you learn great values and character. Master Mike always stressed that great BJJ comes from the practice of great values. That's what makes this place unique and special.

Evolve Academy is my home away from home. Master Mike has an amazing philosophy when it comes to martial arts and building our future leaders which transcends into how the school is run, iterations with the students and the training received. It is a very family friendly gym with students of all ages from all walks of life. I've made really good friends and connections training at Evolve and I've been fortunate to learn and grow over my years there. The instructors are phenomenal both on the mat and in their personal day to day lives. The curriculum is heavily focused on selfdefense and fitness

My eight year old son and I have been coming to Evolve for over three years now and feel like part of a family. For my son, the children's classes teach not only practical self-defense tactics, but also discipline and respect. He not only loves classes, but has hosted his last three birthday parties at Evolve.

EVOLVE ACADEMY! i have being doing Martial arts here since 2005! The knowledge MIKE MOSES, have goes beyond any place i have being practicing before and i have being doing Martial arts since i was 10 years old , but not only this, i can confidently say EVOLVE family is so close to each one of the members , you feel at home as soon as you walk in the first day of class, not only the KNOWLEDGE is ridiculous AMAZING!, but the atmosphere compels you! Evolve Academy is amazing. I have been training here for over 10 years now. The instruction here is phenomenal. There are instructors competing at all levels. Additionally, many other very good martial arts academies in the area have instructors who learned their craft at this gym (six schools at least).
In addition to the great instruction, there is an amazing collection of people here. Everyone is always working together and pushing each other to be better. There are people here from all walks of life.

Completely agree with the the other 5 stars on the Evolve Academy! Master Mike is a incredible instructor and famously successful competitor. The first time I trained here, I was impressed to know that Master Mike teaches some of the classes himself and the level of detail he puts into his instruction was really great. He watches you and makes sure to help where ever he can so you get the moves down.

My husband and I signed up for a " free class" because we really wanted to try out this place for their "good reputation". We drove 30 min and when we got there, they tell us we have to pay $20 for a shirt and hand wraps. Which was never mentioned when we signed. Instead of offering a solution to the misunderstanding, they told us if we don't pay there wasn't a class. Very disappointed with the awful customer service. They should not advertise free classes.

The best place to train mixed martial arts, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Thai kickboxing and self defense. Large clean family friendly facility. They are also the only Gracie Jiu Jitsu certified gym in Gaithersburg. I've been training at Evolve for the last 6 years and it's definitely my second home. Lots of great and friendly people. Definitely a must academy to check out.

I started this academy in January 2013 with their fitness challenge and have never looked back. It is hands down your one-stop shop for the best MMA and fitness training in the area. My entire family trains here. The instructors know their stuff and are the friendliest, most respectful bunch around. The gym teaches people of all levels from 3 year-olds to beginners to professional MMA fighters. The new gym is huge with high ceilings which is really nice. I cancelled my LA fitness membership because I only wanted to go to Evolve.. . The workouts are challenging and rewarding. Definitely give

My friend took me to try a few classes and I got hooked! Evolve has the best instructors, to include the best head instructor (Master Mike)! Their training style is beyond I could ever imagine! Everyone is professional, welcoming, and humble! The training is also the best! What I love about the training sessions is that everyone trains together (from all age groups to gender). Even the pro fighters train with us!!! I usually have to drive 1 1/2 hrs to 2 hrs to train twice a week there but the drive is worth it and I wouldn't go anywhere else!!!

Evolve Academy is an incredible place to train Martial Arts. I started during college for fun and find myself still attendin ten years later. No matter your goal you will be welcomed as a teammate on day one. Some people are intimidated to try martial arts but the beginner classes help ease you into the art while the primal skills class can help get you physically prepared. I can honestly say Evolve Academy has changed my life and would wholeheartedly recommend it too anyone. In fact my younger sister has just begun her journey into Martial Arts and has already gotten hooked.

I joined Evolve Academy several years ago and I can truly say it has been one of the best decisions of my life. Initially, I joined as a way to stay in shape but what I got was a lot more. I never felt intimidated or uncomfortable - instructors and students are very welcoming and genuinely want to help you meet your goals. The instructors' skills are top-notch and, years later, I'm always impressed with how much there is to learn still. I will never get bored of this place!

I trained here a long time ago for a combined total of about 6+ months , until i couldn't afford it anymore. This was actually the first place i took up muay thai and bjj, let alone any martial art, and did a great job with introducing me into the world of martial arts! Great, knowledgeable, and friendly instructors. The conditioning is great, the instructors do a good job with explaining every maneuver, and the programs themselves are well established.

I trained at Evolve on and off for over 3+ years combined, most of that being Muay Thai with about 3 months of no-gi Jiu Jitsu. Before that, I had trained at another prominent MMA gym in Rockville for about 18 months, and since then have trained at a BJJ gym close to my office in Arlington for another 3 months. Evolve is definitely the best of the three, and is certainly one of the best MMA gyms in the area. Of course, part of this is because Evolve offers a variety of classes (as well as kids' classes) that can fit any schedule with top-notch instructors, and their pricing is highly competitive

Great school for Mixed Martial Arts in the Germantown/Gaithersburg area. They specialize in Muy Thai (Personal Self Defense) and Brazilian Jujitsu. Master Mike Moses is great and so are the other instructors like Mr. Frank. As you can tell R.E.S.P.E.C.T is big at this school I think it's great for kids. Very good school with wonderful spirit! I went to the 2 trial classes it was fantastic and I got a free tshirt. I can't wait to join the classes when I get back from traveling. Highly recommended if you are looking for a MMA school.
